The left has been unrelenting in its efforts to exploit the death of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny against Republicans and conservatives. Ever since his demise was announced, Democrats and their close friends and allies in the activist media have been smearing anyone who does not support sending billions of dollars to Ukraine by using Navalny’s unfortunate fate.

On Sunday, a reporter conducted a short interview with President Joe Biden on the South Lawn of the White House in which she asked a series of questions about sending more aid to Ukraine. When asked whether he would be willing to meet with House Speaker Mike Johnson to “negotiate the aid,” Biden responded by saying he would “be happy to meet with him if he has anything to say.”

Then, the reporter removed her mask and went full activist, asking whether Biden would “go as far as to say that [Alexei] Navalny’s blood is on the hands of House Republicans right now.”

Biden responded:

I wouldn’t use that term. They’re making a big mistake not responding.

Look, the way they’re walking away from the threat of Russia, the way they’re walking away from NATO, the way they’re walking away from meeting our obligations, it’s just shocking. I mean, they’re wild. I’ve never seen anything like this.

The alleged journalist also asked whether the dissident’s death would push Republicans to support aid to Ukraine. Biden indicated that he is “not sure anything is going to change.” He also indicated that they are “considering additional sanctions” against the Kremlin over Navalny’s death.

For starters, the fact that a supposed reporter would intimate that Navalny’s demise is the fault of House Republicans tells us all we need to know about the media, which is clearly in the pocket of the Democratic establishment. She was not asking a question – she was telling us all what she believes about Republicans and their opposition to Ukraine aid and was using a dead man’s blood to do it.

Biden’s response wasn’t as exploitive as the reporter probably wanted it to be, but his contention that Republicans have been silent about Navalny’s death is deceptive. Several GOP politicians and leaders have made public statements about the tragedy, expressing their outrage at the regime that killed him.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) issued a statement accusing the Kremlin of murdering the dissident and vowed to “work with my colleagues to hold accountable those in the Russian regime responsible for this atrocity.”

The left has been on a national campaign to use the tragic death of Alexei Navalny to villainize anyone who does not support sending more aid to Ukraine. This alleged reporter was simply doing her part to spread the propaganda.
