WATCH: Beto O'Rourke Once Again Proves to Be, as the Kids Say, 'Cringe'

I do not like writing these sorts of things, but it’s important for us all to remember that what we are up against is a very unserious people.

Beto O’Rourke is currently running a pathetic attempt at a gubernatorial campaign in Texas. O’Rourke came somewhat close to beating Ted Cruz for Senate four years ago, ran for the Democratic nomination in 2020, and somehow still thinks he has the clout and sway to be a contender in a statewide race in Texas. In 2018, he ran in what was supposed to be a good year for Democrats, took a hard left, and lost.

The problem for O’Rourke is that he bought into his own press. The media treated this “Kennedy-esque” candidate as the future of the Democratic Party – a young, cool guy who liked to skateboard and say swear words. But he has lost a lot of his credibility on the national stage, so he’s attempting a comeback in Texas.

This is, unfortunately, where our story today begins.

Fox News is reporting that O’Rourker is attempting to use social media to get out the vote.

Texas gubernatorial nominee Beto O’Rourke is among many Democrats who are using TikTok in an effort to rally more votes ahead of next week’s midterm election.

In the past several days, O’Rourke has been posting videos centered around his key campaign message, namely gun control, expanding Medicaid, and protecting abortion access.

To drive these points home, many of the videos feature his supporters sharing their stories. Several videos feature women declaring their support for abortion. Another video features Hayley Williams, lead singer of the rock band Paramore, urging Texans to vote early and send Republican Gov. Greg Abbott packing.

And, as cringy as O’Rourke has been in the past, including that time he live-streamed his dental work, nothing at all prepared me for this.

This is your chance to look away.

This moment, right here.

Are you still here? You’ve been warned.

Just… Just look into his eyes.

I legitimately cannot tell if Beto is trying to seduce young voters or if he is holding back the pain in his knees he’s clearly feeling right now because he’s too old to be doing this sort of thing. It’s probably supposed to be the former, but it clearly comes across as the latter.

In 2024, I will vote for whichever candidate strongarms the FEC into banning TikTok dances by candidates.
