51 to Repeal: Elect a True Conservative in West Virginia

As a steadfast supporter of conservative candidates, you know what’s at stake in the West Virginia Senate race.

Joe Manchin’s been knocked back on his heels by polls that show me beating him, most recently a Rasmussen poll on Tuesday showing me in the lead by 48% to 46%. So Manchin has taken to lying about his position about Obamacare. In March, he was West Virginia’s #1 cheerleader for Barack Obama’s health care takeover, saying flat out “I’d be for it.” This week, he said he would have voted against the final bill.

So, Joe, which is it?

I’m running for the United States Senate because we need a true conservative to represent West Virginia in Washington, not a rubber stamp to Barack Obama.

Here’s why this race matters to you. If we win a seat the Democrats thought they had in the bag just a few weeks ago, Republicans will be well-positioned to take the majority in the U.S. Senate. This could be the 51st Republican seat that stops the Obama Agenda and starts the repeal of Obamacare!

Today, we’re rallying conservatives all across the country with our “51 to Repeal” moneybomb. I want to be the 51st vote that starts the process of repealing this disastrous Obamacare bill. The number 51 is also fitting because it’s the number of years since West Virginia — a conservative state — has had a Republican U.S. Senator.

Before you invest in my campaign, you have a right to know where I stand. I’m a proud, life-long, down-the-line conservative businessman who’ll stand up to Big Government takeovers, end the wasteful spending, stand for life, and always defend your Second Amendment rights. There won’t be any doubt how I’ll vote in the U.S. Senate.

The last few days have made it clear what kind of Senator Joe Manchin would be: someone who will cave to political expediency and put your interests dead last. In Washington, that will mean giving in to Barack Obama and the national Democrat leadership just like the “conservative” Democrats who gave us the Louisiana Purchase and Cornhusker Kickback and delivered Obamacare to begin with.

West Virginia can’t take a risk like that. Not with so much at stake.

In 2010, we can make history. We can elect a Republican Senator here in West Virginia for the first time in half a century as part of a conservative wave that takes back Congress and begins undoing the ruin Big Government policies have done to our economy.

Will you help make it happen?

As someone who has only recently concerned himself with politics, let me tell you that everyone is underestimating the size of the wave.

The turnover in Congress will be beyond epic in 2010.

I hope your surfing skills are up to snuff!

Are you for giving back half of the country to France? Is he upset at Founding Father and small government advocate Thomas Jefferson? What was wrong with the Louisiana Purchase?

The Louisianna Purchase refers to a huge slab of Federal Pork that Harry Reid gave to Mary Landrieu to buy her vote for ObamaCare.

I guess I don’t always keep up with the current lingo. I spend a lot of time reading up on American history, and especially the founders and I love how at the beginning they were all together in favor of small government and individual freedoms. I should have known better, I mean the original Louisiana Purchase was a heck of a bargain! I guess I didn’t think to equate it with such a bad deal going on now.

…knowing that right now he is obsessively reading all the replies to his comments without the ability to reply back.

In this case, the Louisiana Purchase refers to the carve-out that Mary Landrieu got for Louisiana in the Healthcare debacle…

I am really glad you have spoken out against the minimum wage in the past. There’s no reason to pay lazy incompetent people who run a cash register $7.25 an hour. That just makes everything cost more and keeps actual business people from hiring more people. If we didn’t have a stupid minimum wage there wouldn’t be any unemployment.

and take his job for a day. Maybe Colbert can give you some lessons on how to be a corn-packer afterwords…

Good luck John, and remember, you will have a strong mandate to vote NO on anything and everything that increases federal spending.

We’ve had liberals to outright leftists representing West Virginia long enough.

You really ought to support the Marshall/WVU rivalry, too ;)

Just like so many other elections that were supposed to be easy…

    Whats-her-face vs. Brown in Massachusetts.
Hillary vs. whats-his-name for the DNC POTUS nom.

Never mistake the narrative for the truth. Especially inside D.C.

    Good luck!
