PUT UP OR SHUT UP: Trump Advisor Claims Voter Fraud; Has No Evidence (VIDEO)

The White House continues to claim voter fraud in New Hampshire, as made clear on Sunday morning.

Stephen Miller, senior policy advisor to President Trump, defended administration claims while appearing on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos.

Is actual voter fraud a serious problem, no matter which side is the instigator? Obviously. The issue, however, is the lack of evidence showing that the claims Miller and others make are true.

An excerpt of the exchange from The Hill:

“The White House has provided enormous evidence with respect to voter fraud, with respect to people being registered in more than one state,” Miller told ABC’s “This Week.”

“Dead people voting, non-citizens being registered to vote. George, it is a fact and you will not deny it that are massive numbers of non-citizens in this country who are registered to vote.”

ABC host George Stephanopoulos specifically asked about Trump’s recent claim that voter fraud is the reason he lost in New Hampshire.

“You have provided zero evidence of the president’s claim that he would’ve won the general — the popular vote if 3 [million] to 5 million illegal immigrants hadn’t voted. Zero evidence for either one of those claims,” Stephanopoulos said.

We’ll need specifics, Stephen.

Election fraud should be investigated, actions taken to hold the guilty responsible, and measures put in place to keep it from occurring again.

On Friday, FEC Commissioner Ellen Weintraub called on President Trump to share the evidence they continue to claim they have regarding New Hampshire voter fraud.

It is utter lunacy for the White House to continuing making this claim while simultaneously refusing to provide evidence to support it. The most Miller told Stephanopoulos was essentially “visit New Hampshire, and see for yourself.” And this is a senior policy advisor to the president of the United States? If evidence actually exists, as they claim, it should have already been sent to Weintraub and the FEC.

The current administration would do well to back off from claims they cannot support. I know voter fraud is a sexy issue to discuss these days, but it literally means nothing without proof. This is not a partisan issue, either. If evidence is provided showing fraud originated from either side, condemnation should be swift.

Without evidence, the Trump administration just continues to look like a sore…winner, and that schtick is tiring.
