After a disastrous 2016 election it’s only natural that Democrat voters are anxiously looking ahead to 2020. After all, if Hillary “The Second Chosen One” Clinton couldn’t beat Donald Trump, who can?

Some of the suggestions have been hilariously desperate:

third run for Hillary (it’s getting embarrassing now).

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Alec Baldwin

Oprah Winfrey

Bernie “Three Houses For Me But Not For Thee” Sanders

Another name we all know has been floating around for a few months now, but yesterday #Resister reporter April Ryan sent out a tweet that many Democrats longing for the second coming of Barack Obama might find very enticing.

Holder has previously suggested he’s been toying with the idea but wouldn’t make any definitive choices until at least the end of the year.

My Spidey-senses say there’s no way Holder puts up a serious bid for the presidency. America may be currently distracted with the onslaught of all-Russia-all-the-time coverage but while that is happening there is new information nearly every week about the gross negligence and downright corruption happening in the Obama administration. A few people from that era know the dirtiest of the dirt that was slung around and one of those people is Eric Holder. He knows darn well that a presidential run opens him (and his records) up to all sorts of scrutiny and investigation. There’s no way he’s up for that.

Frankly, I don’t think the Democrat party would even allow him to get a foot in the door as far as future presidential politics are concerned. Obama’s legacy is already being dismantled at the policy level. They definitely don’t want to see his reputation unravel in the typical nastiness of a campaign.

No, Holder knows too much about too many things. My prediction is he will continue to tease a run for publicity but in the end he’ll say no to the brass ring.
