The Left’s New Tone? “…you will be killed and your familes will also be killed…”

Because you believe in freedom and fiscal responsibility, you’ve been told that you are racist hate-monger. Because you rallied and held Gadsen Flags, you’ve been called astroturf. You were blamed for a shooting by an anarchist madman. As you’ve watched in horror as your country has been consumed by collectivist unions and crony capitalists, you’ve been accused of advocating slavery and hypocritically excoriated for rhetoric.

For all of their false accusations, there is nothing, nothing that compares to this [via Drudge]:

Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell. Read below for more information on possible scenarios in which you will die.

WE want to make this perfectly clear. Because of your actions today and in the past couple of weeks I and the group of people that are working with me have decided that we’ve had enough. We feel that you and the people that support the dictator have to die. We have tried many other ways of dealing with your corruption but you have taken things too far and we will not stand for it any longer. So, this is how it’s going to happen: I as well as many others know where you and your family live, it’s a matter of public records. We have all planned to assult you by arriving at your house and putting a nice little bullet in your head. However, we decided that we wouldn’t leave it there. We also have decided that this may not be enough to send the message to you since you are so “high” on Koch and have decided that you are now going to single handedly make this a dictatorship instead of a demorcratic process. So we have also built several bombs that we have placed in various locations around the areas in which we know that you frequent. This includes, your house, your car, the state capitol, and well I won’t tell you all of them because that’s just no fun. Since we know that you are not smart enough to figure out why this is happening to you we have decided to make it perfectly clear to you. If you and your goonies feel that it’s necessary to strip the rights of 300,000 people and ruin their lives, making them unable to feed, clothe, and provide the necessities to their families and themselves then We Will “get rid of” (in which I mean kill) you. Please understand that this does not include the heroic Rep. Senator that risked everything to go aganist what you and your goonies wanted him to do. We feel that it’s worth our lives to do this, because we would be saving the lives of 300,000 people. Please make your peace with God as soon as possible and say goodbye to your loved ones we will not wait any longer. YOU WILL DIE!!!! [Emphasis added.]

Where is the Left’s condemnations? Where is the President and his “we thrive together” campaign? Where is Secretary Napolitano and her fight against domestic terrorism?

Let’s talk about “new tone” now, shall we?

Hard-core leftist never incite violent behavior, just as blacks can never–by definition– be racists. Leftism is borne, you see, out of love and compassion, and thus, when they condemn people to death they are doing so out of love.

Stop trying to make sense out of the irrational.

    • goodforall

All I heard after the gabby Giffords shooting is how it was the right who was filled with hatred and violence, yet with the mob action and death threats in Wisconsin I hear nothing from the media. This is such a crock-always a double standard for the libs. Everyone can see for themselves who it is that tried to inforce their will through violence and intimidation.

Is sooo Leftist as to be a Marxist-Communist-Socialist Propaganda Agent.. They push Islamism so as to confront Christianism, hoping each side kills off the other side – leaving Socialism as the only survivor. I wrote them my complaints and told them that if I didn’t need cheep Newspaper for soaking up cat piss in the Pet Litter boxes, that I would quit their subscription.. Now I hear that Ground up Corn Cobs work even better.. Their subscriptions runs out in two months.. I now have a corn-cob barter plan with my farmer neighbor..

I love cats too. I am a lefty and condemn the threatening letter. But I will recall and vote out the politicians who are supporting their failed trickle up policy of sending our tax dollars to corporations and hoping they create jobs instead of just continuing to paying their CEO’s more. Time to try supporting our fellow workers and begin a trickle up movement in our communities.

          • eburkedisciple

I love workers too. I am one. I also know my future is in my hands and not my employers. I don’t need a union to select an employer I can trust. I don’t feel entitled to more because I have been recognized well for my contributions and my hard work. I have never seen anyone, though I know it happens, who worked hard and well that got a raw deal. I have seen loads of lazy idiots that get to keep jobs and get paid better than me. I have friends who are managers who cannot get rid of people who are completely incompetent.

Busting unions is NOT the same as oppressing workers. We all have to eat a little humble pie when others have the control and learn to work together. I suggest you try a little harder. I have been trying hard for a long time and have done pretty well respecting my acquaintances who feel differently. Now it is your turn.

If you are meaning the “public employee union “Workers”, You shouldn’t use the phrase “Workers” parasites would be more appriopate. I’m tired of having my working earnings extorted from me to support the privledged class of Tenured, Bonused, Free insured, free retirement, liars. And you are outnumbered by the real workers, it took all the criminal actions the dems could come up with to get you here. “YOU” will recall who? Better call ACORN?

          • http://theminorityreportblog.com Repair_Man_Jack

The people that built Wisconsin’s Union Movement were the genuine article. If the meat-packing plants they worked in were 1/10th as bad as Upton Sinclair’s propaganda made them out to be, they were awful. They were literally fighting the Robber Barons. They were getting their butts kicked by the Pinkerton Cops.

The parasites taking advantage of this legacy utterly disgust me. Their biggest health and safety threat is eating too many fatty foods at lunch and popping at aorta. They are worms.

I support the Governor, State Senate and State House for their actions to take back what rightfully belongs to the people of Wisconsin. These childish Democratic Party members who had to run and hide from the issues shirked their duties for union money. Demonstrators bused in from all over the country for an issue that is not their concern making threats against the people they disagree with. This is civil? You should be glad that we are civil and doing act like a bunch of spoiled children and socialist hate mongers. Take your junky act back to where you came from and agitate the folks where you live and leave Wisconsin alone, hear that Big Al?

  • izoneguy

You think Bill Ayers is running this terrorist ground operation in Wisconsin?

I wonder if Eric Holder will run an agressive investigation on this??

I wonder if Obama knows his words were the instigation of this terror??

  • donnybrooke

Having just finished a book about the early “Mafia”, these tactics sound very familiar. Considering that the Mafia were heavily involved in Unions along docks and trucking, it’s not a surprise that they’re still up to their old tricks. This isn’t the “Left”, this is organized crime!

    Ah, the “Black Hand” lives!

    • gillis7

      This isn

      • donnybrooke

If this were only about “politics”, it would be the “Left”. But when it’s about making sure the money keeps coming in to the “Bosses”, it’s organized crime.

    • edintexas

Yes, “The Mob” was involved in the Longshoreman’s Union – on the east coast. On the west coast it was the communists who ran the docks.

Perhaps these days the unions are a blend of the two. Communist politics and LCN inspired methods. But, then again, the Communists have never been strangers to violence in pursuit of their political aims.

      • Raven

The longshoremen’s union and the trash collectors’ union are both still mafia owned and controlled.

        • Doc Holliday

they make you join, and pay them money for protection. The union leaders get paid fat salaries and never get calluses on their hands. They wield power over businesses over threats implied or otherwise.

I know people that lost their pensions because of union strikes timed to crush a company’s stock, I have seen it over and over and it was real. So they attack companies and coerce those that just want a job to join the gang.

  • msctex

It would be nice if there was a way to communicate to these people that it is their own leaders who have been lying to them for generations, telling them Union Membership would somehow grant them a paycheck in perpetuity. That the Republicans are not taking anything away from them, as there is nothing to take away. The money does not exist, and there is no way that it could.

A calm and well-reasoned speech from Governor Walker, explaining all this in the simplest terms, might go a long way towards diffusing the situation. I’m afraid the alternative is to wait for a tragedy, which will be gleefully exploited by the Media and Unions. Nothing would make them happier right now than a dead protestor with the opposition “at fault.” Nothing. It is all they have left.

    • edintexas

And if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. Wisconsinites (is that how they term themselves?) report the media ignoring the signs showing which states the demonstrators are coming from to “support liberty and worker’s rights in Wisconsin”. These people are not interested in a calm, well reasoned speech from anyone, particularly from a Republican.

      • msctex

. . .it would be the right tactical move. Walker has done an excellent job of covering all the bases, to the point he must be driving the Dems crazy behind closed doors. People do listen, at least the one’s worth talking to.

Is he going to change any “protesters” minds? Of course not. But his job as a leader is to tell the truth, and address the citizens of his state. There is little to nothing that can be done about the rabble they are bussing in.

        • Raven

          Numerous times.

          • msctex

As would Churchill. Any real leader who is in the right knows that being right is his greatest strength, because he has the facts on his side. If Walker would provide a simply outline of the facts of the matter — the utterly unsustainable nature of the fiscal circumstance — it would counter the outright lies and distortions the Media is only too happy to repeat and provide. It would also be wise to question the nature of the “Democracy” which is supposedly being undermined, as well as redirect the “Shame” the fabricated mobs are chanting about.

Think of it this way: do you think the protesters and their masters will be for or against the idea? Since the answer is obviously the latter, all the more reason.

          • Raven

He has already given the speech you’re demanding. He has also been on tv and the radio time and again saying exactly what you’re asking him to say.

          • msctex

. . .yet was completely unaware of that fact. Are you in Wisconsin?

          • Raven

But even I have seen him on TV and heard him on the radio and some of that’s even been covered here on RS, somewhat. Mostly as a “by the way” kind of thing, but it has been mentioned and links and video of him explaining have been provided.
A lot of that was in the thread by Erick, iirc, complaining about Walker playing the “We have no money,” card too much and the “Public sector unions game the system,” card too little.

          • msctex

I’ve been getting my news online, as even Fox can get on my nerves. But I usually am still aware of such things, if only by secondhand description.

I suppose what I really want is what once would have happened. Given the magnitude of this story, it once would have been more than relevant enough to warrant the brief speech from Walker I was asking (post-passing and signing), yet it would have been covered by all the networks. It might even have once been considered worthy of cutting into prime-time television, given the demonstrations and all.

But, that was when our country’s media was concerned with presenting the news, as opposed to managing it. The last thing they want is an articulate explanation of what actually happened offered on a national scale: it would queer the false narrative they are desperately trying to construct. Thanks for letting me know things are a little better than I was aware.

          • Raven

That may once have happened with Reagan. But even with Bush the Elder, it didn’t. And certainly not since Bush the Younger.

          • msctex

Anything otherwise would have been considered negligence on the part of the journalists. This was back when we had actual journalists and reporters with some standards and pride, as opposed to the lump of conglomerated Progressive propaganda outlets we today term “The Media.”

But you may be right about Bush I being the tipping point, and specifically I think it was the success of the first Gulf War that did it. It was as though the Press realized they were the only ones guarding a store, and started robbing the register a little more every night.

  • http://www.scragged.com petrarch

I hope, for their sakes, that Gov. Walker, the Republican Wisconsin Senators and Representatives, and their family members who are of legal age, have chosen to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights and prepared for their own legitimate self-defense. Getting a letter like that would also seem to be definitive proof of a legitimate reason for a concealed-carry permit.

We should not begin violence. But everyone has a right to defend themselves and their families, and if that appalling letter isn’t just hot air, let’s hope that the assassins are met with the appropriate and terminal response.

    • ohiohistorian

but I believe we will end it. Does the Left understand who owns the weapons in this country, and that they own them for self-defense against goons as well as burglars?

      • powertothepeople

and I fear there will be death before this ends. The pot is boiling over and there is not much we can do to stop it if we continue to stand on principle.

        • edintexas

“The pot is boiling over and there is not much we can do to stop it if we continue to stand on principle.”

IF we continue to stand on principle? IF? Do you propose another course, other than standing on principle? Should we lie to the public, and ourselves, and not stand on principle? Are our principles so weak and worthless that we should throw them aside “when the going gets tough”? Shall we adopt the old mantra of the anti-gun people and say it is worth eliminating a principled stand “if it saves one life”?

          I hope you simply misspoke.

          • Raven

            Those are the only options:
Stand on Principle and risk whatever the Left wishes to attempt
            or
            Give in.

          • powertothepeople

either we continue to do what is right and be ready for what it brings or do the wrong thing and appease. It was a very simple statement…..

            Hence the word principle.

          • rickbull

It’s the massive left slant to the news they choose NOT to report.

  • davidleigh

I read a post earlier where the writer stated the left has been in command of the narrative for decades and is coming apart because they no longer have control. That is very well said. I hope there isn’t any bloodshed in WI but if there is the person(s) responsible should be jailed for the remainder of his life.

The democrats, in their usual snotty, childish way, proved once again liberalism is a sense of entitlement and is truly a mental disability. They may have great numbers for the television as they are bussed in from other states but the millions of us out here who are not pro-union aren’t going to take this lying down much further.

The message is quite clear: Your days of control are over. You’re not “unique” people. You’re no better than anyone trying to pay their bills or eke out a living in the private sector. So be very careful with your threatening letters. You’re not the kind of Americans this nations desires. You’ve become enemies of decency. You need to go.

  • The Grognard

I admire the guy and what he’s doing tremendously, and I believe he’s had remarkable restraint with the protesters so far, giving them every benefit of the doubt and allowing them to exercise their rights. I despise unions, but have no issue with union folks PEACEFULLY demonstrating. I’m sure Walker realizes that he is walking the knife edge here between allowing dissent and maintaining public safety, and knows politically what would happen if he cracks down on the union thugs.

That being said, that bum’s rush by the crowd into the capital building in Wisconsin last night was beyond the pale. Police officers were being pushed around and knocked down by the crowd, and I can imagine how safe the Republican lawmakers felt under those circumstances. Walker needs to have a press conference and make it clear that violence, vandalism, and threats are not the way things work in the country. We are not some third world crap-hole.

If he lets the mob keep running riot like this, its going to end badly. I don’t want to see anyone hurt, union or otherwise, but its going to happen unless they are reigned in.

Those threats being made against lawmakers must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and any possible union collusion in such crap investigated and exposed as well.

This needs national attention, and he needs to get out in front of this before folks get hurt.

Get smart Wisconsin. Introduce a new bill and give 24 hours notice. This is too big for us to lose on some BS technicality.

        • quakergrey

Here is where you can get your specific information:
          http://www.wisfoic.org/an-openmeetingslaw.html

          (3) Public notice of every meeting of a governmental body shall be given at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of such meeting unless for good cause such notice is impossible or impractical, in which case shorter notice may be given, but in no case may the notice be provided less than 2 hours in advance of the meeting.

          19.87 Legislative meetings.
          (2) No provision of this subchapter which conflicts with a rule of the senate or assembly or joint rule of the legislature shall apply to a meeting conducted in compliance with such rule.

          and

          19.98 Interpretation by attorney general.
Any person may request advice from the attorney general as to the applicability of this subchapter under any circumstances.

Given the general atmosphere at the capital, I’d say they found it impractical to give too much notice – remember it was a Democrat representative’s office window that was deliberately unsealed and opened to let protesters in later on that night so the doors were opened from inside and the protesters could get inside. That might have happened earlier if they’d given too much notice. But I noticed that they managed to get some media types in because there’s footage of the meeting. I read somewhere that e-mails were sent out. There’d be a time stamp on that. I don’t suppose any challenge will succeed. I’m sure they discussed it thoroughly.
