Just like spring follows winter, liberal Democrats and their fellow travelers are already crying foul over Ohio HB 159. HB 159 requires a photo ID for in-person voters. Currently, Ohio voters can use non-photo documents such as a utility bill, bank statement, government check or other government document that purports to show the voter’s name and address.

The bill’s opponent’s talking points are:

There is no documented voter identification fraud in Ohio
The bill unfairly targeting students, the elderly, racial minorities, low income families and people with disabilities
The proposed accepted documents are not only expensive, but the process of obtaining them can be difficult and time-consuming
There is no reason other than partisan politics to pass this costly bill that will only result in voter suppression

Wisconsin turns in about 3 million votes in a Presidential election year. In Florida, we had over 8 million people vote in 2008. We have had the picture ID law ever since the 2000 election. We have more undocumented workers than any other state other than CA, and TX. A person can still vote here if they don’t have a picture ID, they have to vote by provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are examined by the canvassing board after the election. Out of 8 million votes in 2008, only 35 thousand were provisional and they were all examined by the canvassing boards even though the total wouldn’t have affected the outcome of the Presidential election. These SEIU people are liars.

When were women counted as a minority? Why wouldn’t a woman have an ID card? Why wouldn’t a disabled person have an ID card? Why do they keep coming up with such nonsense?

They say that minorities and the poor do not have ID. Bull! Most states grant some form of ID merely by showing residency with a utility bill or something like that. If they don’t drive, can’t they get a county ID or a friggin library card, or is reading library books also racist? Screw SEIU and all those “unions” that engage in community organizing. I was young and thought that they meant Space based aliens. That is a whole other thread. BUT anyway, I distinctly remember the Government telling ALL immigrants that they MUST carry their ID at all times.

Now, for some reason, we find this unimportant? That is quite the reversal. And can only mean they are no longer considered aliens, but citizens (legal or otherwise).
