Unions Plan Siege On Conservative Political Action Conference [CPAC]

Next weekend, political conservatives from all over the nation will be descending on Washington, DC to attend the annual Conservative Political Action Conference—better known as CPAC. Across town, however, union bosses and their adopted #OccupyDC progeny are planning to disrupt and lay siege to the conservative conference.

According to the AFL-CIO’s Washington DC Metro Council website, “Actions are currently being planned for noontime andafter work on Friday, February 10.”

Apparently, the unions plans to attempt to disrupt the conference with rats, puppets, and more:

WE’VE HEARD ENOUGH FROM THE 1%! Join the rally featuring tents, an inflatable fat cat, puppets, “candidate Walmart,” and more to LET THE VOICES OF THE 99% BE HEARD!

There is also a Facebook page for Occupy CPAC, posted by Change to Win staffer, Trina Tocco. It is important to note that Change to Win is the SEIU-led federation that broke away from the AFL-CIO in 2005—which means both union federations are involved in planning the attacks on CPAC.

Unlike the Americans for Prosperity event, where #OccupyDC violently protested outside Washington Convention Center, as well as tried to lock attendees into the building, CPAC’s event is at the Marriott Wardman Park, which is on private property and is set back from the street.

Therefore, if the AFL-CIO, Change to Win and their #Occupy goon squads do attempt to storm the hotel, while it may not immediately address any of those union occupiers who are inside the event, DC police should be able to keep them from gaining access from the street.

Stay tuned…

recognize this the better. Much like the ’90s when the Islamists were waging war against the U.S and we choose to ignore it, if we pretend this is just a few radicals they will roll over us.
I would never suggest we use the same tactics as these goons, but we are smarter, and driven by love of country rather than hatred of it. We can beat them.

  • johnt

and very much the same sort of characters. Now this is where a free press would come in handy, but I’m only dreaming. Failing that we need at least a realization followed by results that push back will be required. This statist thuggery will get far worse as we move into 2012.

  • spinoneone

is a good idea, but don’t take your guns to town in DC. That will land you in jail faster than taking a baseball bat along to “encourage” learning among the OWS crowd.

  • DVPTEXFLA

The left is making use of the fire hoses and the brown shirts to try to snuff out opinion, speech and actions they want suppressed. familiar tactics in the wars against freedom and liberty.

The problem for the left is they think no one is watching. In fact we are watching them execute a circular firing squad.

    • renl57

Unlike the Fascist and Nazi brownshirts, the Left has an even more powerful weapon than brute force:

      Shame.

They rush to pin a “Racist” label on anyone who dares to disagree with them, in hopes that the shamed dissenter will just bow his head humbly and slink away, humiliated. Or in the case of the Tea Party, “Teabagger,” a slur invented by that MSNBC lesbian.

On that front, we really need to give as good as we get.

Observing the Occupy Wall Street protesters, we’ve seen just how *physically loathsome* these creatures were: Unbathed. Dirty. Lice-infested. Etc.

Let’s continue to call them out on that, while at the same time *sympathizing* with blue-collar union members.

Let’s not drive the working-class folks of the AFL-CIO into solidarity with OWS. Let’s divide them and keep them apart. Express our contempt for the former, our rough-and-ready sympathy for the latter.

for every CPAC attendee to be carrying…..a video camera. YouTube awaits, and in an election year the public needs constant reminding of the left’s garbage. I’m sure they will do their best to provide us with adequate footage…

    • lizfstone

…think alike. Will have both my still and my flipcam.

    • http://www.laborunionreport.com LaborUnionReport

As you film the actors, make sure you get the directors as well, as it is important to identify them for potential prosecution.

      • smagar

Be ready to give your video to CPAC staff or D.C. police. If you shoot something as good as the Zapruder film but can’t/won’t give it to anybody, it’s worthless. (Unless you post it on YouTube and it goes viral…then the police can subpoena it, I suppose.)

If you think a lefty is going to smack your camera (or you), have someone who’s videoing YOU. Make it easy for the DC police to prosecute Markos’ Mini-Me’s for assault. (Or, more likely, harder to justify why they won’t).

Gingrich is holding a press conference tonight at 11 PM. Looks like he may be suspending his campaign also. I expect Santorum will follow suit shortly. That means we have a choice of Romney or Paul. No thanks.

    • sandiegovoter

I thought that Gingrich was going to try to drag this out until the convention.

Oh well. I’m totally jazzed about this year’s election. We’re kicking Obama out of the White House and replacing him with a conservative. The real question is whether or not we can take back the Senate. I think there are about 5 or 6 “gettable” democrat seats in the senate this year.

        no further text needed

      • Vegas_Rick

the one who thinks the minimum wage should be raised automatically, or the one who thinks the government should be bailing out underwater home owners?

Oh wait, those are both Romney, and he’s certainly no conservative.

        • Vegas_Rick

that a safety net is all that the poor require?

          Oh crap, that’s Romney too.

          How silly of me.

    • elayman

since no one is expecting Nevada to be close. Hopefully the presser is only a diversion to avoid congratulating Romney on a big win ? Although skipping out on a meeting with the governor doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

    • http://www.gmsplace.com/ civil truth

…in conjunction with own goals by our side.

    • fightnright

Trump’s endorsement of Mitt may not be a boon in terms of firming up or advancing conservative support for Romney, but Trump’s celebrity, ability to raise funds, and media p.r machine might have proven a bridge too far for Newt to overcome. Especially if Newt’s Vegas funders have demurred after his FL loss. Every (opportunistic, to be sure) interview with Trump in the right-wing media is effectively free ad-time for Mitt.

Or maybe Newt is gonna ‘pull a Trump’ of his own, teasing the MSM to gather like carrion birds over a conservative carcass, only to create some press buzz for his own campaign?

    • JSobieski

I will bet you every cent that you have that Newt is not suspending his campaign. There is no logical reason for any candidate to suspend before Super Tuesday.

How you make the logical leap from a presidential candidate calling a press conference to a presidential candidate suspending their campaign is … interesting.

When Perry scheduled a news conference and people guessed that he was suspending his campaign, you were absolutely furious.

Maybe I should copy and paste some of that response here?

      • elayman

Most likely to steal Romney’s big night..or who else but the press was going to come to a Gingrich party in Nevada ? He is going to have to come up with a more mature game plan for handling post defeats or the rumors of being too mentally unstable to work within an established system of protocol will only intensity.

      • demsaresatanic

        Obama.

  • benko

Because they are willing to do whatever it takes and the rest roll over and let them get away with it. I’m not suggesting we stoop to their tactics, just an observation.

    • avgjo

      mindset.

The enemy (and yes, they’re our ENEMIES, not our opponents) sets the terms of the fight. Honorable enemy, honorable fight. No-holds-barred enemy, no-holds-barred fight.

The British didn’t ‘stoop to our level’ in fighting and look what happened to them. Twice.

      • demsaresatanic

to take “don’t stoop to their level” too far. We don’t have to lie like a democrat, but we can play hardball like a democrat.

        • steeltube

The CPAC folks just need to follow the playbook the Koch’s use for their conferences. Use smaller towns or cites, confine the event(s) to just one full service resort/conference center type property and buy the place out.

Spend some money on decent security and stop allowing Maddow, TPM,NPR, etc to set up shop for their annual “Look at what we found at CPAC” muggings.

Hopefully Coulter will get another pie actually in the face this time. She’s earned it.

  • freemanja1991

    To get occupied really?

    • Vegas_Rick

Based on their Facebook page, there’s not very much enthusiasm among the lefties.

      • freemanja1991

Just don’t want to smell these people. But a friend of mine tells me we are going to mess with them.

  • doncorleone

All of those union bros and sisses, when they sell their houses or (have to next year), if they are ready for the 3.8% sales tax for real estate that’s going to go into effect with the obamacare bill in ’13, it’s in there. Wonder if they’ll raise the dues again.

CPAC is held on private property. What that mean is that attempting to break in is breaking the law.

I’m not proposing filing criminal charges – that would just make them martyrs – but the AFL-CIO, SEIU and other Unions have deep pockets.

This is a conspiracy to commit trespass. A civil conspiracy lawsuit could mean that every penny that the Unions raised to support the left gets taken by CPAC to be spent on Conservative causes.

What’s more, it isn’t difficult to get big awards. Post a prominent sign near each entrance saying that, by entering, a person agrees to pay $100,000 if he or she disrupts the conference. Then sue for breach of contract too.

Every time I hear of Unions trespassing on private property to protest, it amazes me that people do not think to sue them. If Unions start having to pay money to conservatives every time they do something illegal, they’ll stop.

  • doncorleone

There was talk in the fall of last year to bill the unions and their leaderships for the 3 million dollars in damages to it’s statehouse there. Did any of that come to pass? They used our dues monies to protest and “speechify”, and provide logistical, material, and boots on the ground support in both oh. and wisc.. All of those “1%ers” who run our unions need to cough up some cash.
