Despite union bosses lying to their members in 2008 about Barack Obama’s gun-control desires, according to his legislative record, he apparently would rather have a person killed in their own homes than have them defend themselves with a gun.

Not surprisingly, in keeping with their standard of not letting a good crisis go to waste, Obama and his left-wing cronies have launched a full-on frontal assault on Americans’ right to keep and bear arms.

This is despite the fact that they are not addressing the real gun violence problem.

As opportunistic, anti-Constitutional leftists use the Sandy Hook tragedy assault the Bill of Rights, it is worthy to note that not all teachers and law enforcement officials are aligned with the Left’s agenda to disarm Americans.

As Jason Hart noted earlier, Over 1,000 Educators Apply for Armed Teacher Training…in Ohio.

Moreover, (via Drudge) in Louisiana, the Sheriff’s Department in Caddo Parish is “inviting children to participate in the “Kids First Gun Program,” which will teach young children how to safely operate firearms.”

In Wyoming, lawmakers are proposing “gun protection” legislation. While it’s hoped that other states follow suit, only time will tell.

The question then becomes:

Would you rather be unarmed (like those in this Los Angeles clothing store) when criminals come to do you and others harm?

Or, would you rather be like the mother who saved her children?

Or, these Glock-carrying diners (via YouTube)…?

Remember: When they outlaw guns, only outlaws (and tyrants) will have guns.

    We have the Second Amendment. We really need to challenge those who wish to do away with our rights by way of legislation, to actually do the right thing and push for the repeal of the Second Amendment. We should challenge our representatives who are pro-gun to push the gun-grabbers to come out against the Second Amendment. There is a process to amend the Constitution.

    Aside from repealing the Second Amendment, any gun control must be recognized as illegal.

      My understanding is that a repeal of the 2nd Amendment is proposed once every two years in the House of Representatives by at least one of the anti-gun agendists. It has never made it as far as a vote on the floor, much less to the President’s desk or the states’ legislatures.

    Looks as if Biden’s going to recommend (1) limits on mag capacity, (2) universal background checks, and (3) some sort of national database. All of which

    – would not have stopped John Hinckley;

    – would not have stopped Harris and Kleebold;

    – would not have stopped Adam Lanza;

    – would not have stopped Mark David Chapman;

    – would not have stopped Tim McVeigh…and the list goes on.

    I’m not really concerned, personally, about (1), (2), and (3). I do want to stop future Newtowns. The NRA is right. We as a country must harden the soft targets we most want to protect.

      we need to stop talking about “preventing” Newtown, etc. No matter what policy the left puts in place – *even total gun confiscation* – you will STILL have Newtowns.

      Likewise, no matter how responsible all of us who shoot are, no matter how many armed guards we put in schools, you will STILL have Newtowns. Because we can never eliminate every soft target.

      The only way to prevent Newtowns is to live in a police state, all public areas locked down all the time. That’s not American.

      Ben Franklin put it best right? if you put security ahead of liberty then you don’t deserve either one.

      Obama was simply wrong. These tragedies ARE the price of our freedom. We honor those kids and other victims as martyrs but if we change our society to a police state then the bad guys win.

    Obama is a full blown traitor to America and a would be dictator. I wish I had any confidence in our military command to preclude him from pursuing his ultimate agenda as Congress and the Supreme Court are totally unwilling to oppose him.

    in your home the first line of active defense against a criminal is a door lock. the final point of active defense is your “AR-15″. in your home the first line of passive defense against a tyrannical government is the second amendment. the final point of a passive defense against a tyrannical government is the ambiguity as to whether you actually own an “AR-15″ or not. And by the way the AR in ar-15 does not stand for assault rifle, it stands for, ArmaLite, the company that first produced the products for enhancing standard semi-automatic weapons.

    We are “in such a lather”, because we have dumbass politicians who believe that they know what we need and that we don’t know what we need. They use stupid language like “close the gun show loophole”. We know what that means. It means to stop the private sales of guns. There is no gun show loophole. The current law applies if you are at a gun show, in someones home, or in a gun store. There is no loophole. If you are a FFL that sells a gun, you must do a background check, if you are a private citizen, you do not. Where is the loophole? Every time they say “We need to have a national conversation”, we know that means law-abiding citizens are going to lose more of their rights.

    This is the scenario I envision: If (when) guns are confiscated supposedly under legal methods (abandonment of the 2nd amendment), then the military under martial law will move in to perform the illegal gun sweep and kill many civilians doing so. Many sheeple will be moved to FEMA camps. And the USSA becomes a reality.

    Unless we have a military that has sworn by oath to uphold the Constitution and arrests the real enemy of the Constitution and the United States this is what I see.

    It isn’t a gun violence problem it is a Violence problem. sometimes guns are used sometimes a hammer is used. we need to focus onthe violence problem not giving up our protection. I don’t understand why people can’t understand the tyranny can happen in this country an is actually in process right now. Whenever a public offical especially like the President tries to go against an amendment of the consitution we have a form of tyranny. Left unchecked by the other branches of the governent we could end up in a dictatorship just like Chavez did to Venezuela. Yes it could happen here and that is why the founding fathers gave us the 2nd amendment.
