Frank Lautenberg Thinks Terrorists Should Have More Rights than Tea Partiers

Some people are beyond parody. Back in 2007, Frank Lautenberg voted to expand the right of habeas corpus to foreign citizens detained overseas in the war on terror. In other words, if you are a terrorist, Frank Lautenberg thinks you are not getting all the Constitutional rights you deserve and he is going to do everything he can to make sure you get them. However, if you are a United States citizen who has not committed any crime whatsoever, apart from opposing taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, Frank Lautenberg believes you deserve no Constitutional rights at all. At a Planned Parenthood rally in Englewood, NJ, Lautenberg, addressing the counterprotestors who were protesting continued government funding of Planned Parenthood, said:

In case you have difficulty making it out, Lautenberg can be heard to say, “These people don’t deserve the freedoms in the Constitution.” In this context, “These people” apparently means the vast majority of Americans who don’t support taxpayer funding of abortion, or at the very least all TEA Party people who feel that way. When an audience member incredulously asks whether Lautenberg really said that, he added ”but we’ll give it to them anyway.” How maganimous.

It is no surprise to find that an elected Democrat thinks pro-lifers and TEA Partiers are worse than terrorists. It’s just surprising to find one so refreshingly honest about it.

Sorry to spoil your delusions of authoritarian grandeur, Senator Lautenberg, but you don’t “give” us anything, with respect to our Constitutional rights.

You grossly misunderstand how this whole thing works. You see, you don’t “give” us those rights; rather, we have told you what you don’t get to take away from us.

By the way, Senator: some of us still remember that you were originally elected illegally. Here’s hoping the good people of New Jersey will right that wrong when you are next up for re-election.

Although I am sure that Laut and his fellow elitists will try to take those rights away.

I don’t deserve the rights defined in The Constitution because I’m against the federal government taking my money and using it to kill babies? Its time for Frank to retire, he has lost his marbles. 87 years old and 29 of those years dictating how people should live from The Senate floor. I’m ASHAMED to have that man as one of my Senators. Did anyone else notice that on the Obamacare 1099 repeal there were only a few Senators who voted against it; one being Lautenberg. I wonder if this could have anything to do with him holding a big stake in ADP (Automatic Data Processing) in NJ. More paperwork = more $$ for our buddy Frank. Frank is a shining example of why we need term limits for these crooked, do-as-i-say not as I do politicians.

Top story shows him looking his age and IQ (about the same) at an FAA facility. With what happened at Reagan on Tues PM, doesn’t that make Lautenberg on the correct side of ALL issues?

Just think, if Reagan hadn’t disciplined the FAA controllers like he did, we probably would have had the guy at Reagan National off on paid leave instead of facing disciplinary action. We can look forward to the airport screeners asleep at THEIR displays in the future as they become unionized.

This is why, no matter what we do in terms of contacting or elected officials here in NJ to express our opinions, it doesn’t do any good. Menendez is just the same. They are sold on the failed progressive experiment and refuse to see the obvious detrimental effects of their policies.

He’s a gun-grabber extrodinare. His disdain for the Tea-Parties is not a big shocker.

but I don’t because i do believe in the constitution for those that are citizens of this United States. Terrorist by definition have forfeited many of the basic rights of the constitution whether on or off-shore. Many company’s have mandatory retirement ages for the life of me I don’t know why the US Congress doesn’t. NOt only is 29 years too long to hold that job but 89 years old is too old to be serving there. Come on Frank, retire and go home. your little feeble mind is being over stressed.

Ol’ Frank remains in office because it takes stupid to continue voting a stupid back in time after time. There should be a mandatory retirement age for congress. If we can’t get rid of ‘em via term limits then age is the next solution.Fifty five is retirement age for federal workers so congress should get the same boot. Wow,we could’ve been rid of Lautenberg, Schumer, Reid,
Feinstein,Leahy,Boxer,Pelosi and more including a bunch of RINOS.
      Happy Days!
