The Truly Massive ALEC Protests (Video)

The way the media is covering the ALEC protests, you would imagine they were about as huge as the OWS protests (which were also by and large pathetically attended in comparison to the TEA Party protests but endlessly hyped by the media). Turns out, maybe not so much. Check out this video from Ben Howe about the truly massive anti-ALEC posts in Charlotte:

I hope the ALEC member organizations are paying attention to this massive public uprising…

    Do you remember that scene in Wizard of Oz where Dorothy and friends were told “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain”?

    That more or less has been the left’s way of dealing with the American people for years. “Don’t verify any facts…don’t question anything we tell you…just take everything we tell you to be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth and follow blindly behind us”

    It’s good to see that curtain being torn away!

    when you consider the huge crowd at the Rush Limbaugh protest. You’d think they’d schedule these things so as not to conflict with one another.

    takes care of that. Reminds me of some of the old Jesse Jackson “rallies”, 10 to 20 malcontents would show up and network prime time coverage would do the rest.
    Give them a couple of drunks and they’ll give you a populist movement.

      down here in Central Florida. It was (& is) all headlines and angst but in reality there’d be like 30 people marching. Media used all tight shots in attempts to reinforce the meme.

    I went out and talked with a couple of them.. They were concerned about “high-stakes testing,” hence the pencils. As we were talking with them another woman walked by and shouted “shame on you!!!”

    Here’s a video I shot. It confirms that the video above was in fact representative of the smallness of the protest.

    My fave {and you always see these misinfomed ‘Concerned Activists’ where ever Progressives gather} is when the Gent in Ben’s Frames declares he’s “all about Democracy…”
    From there on, it’s just ” I don’t know” and “… we’re not sure..”

    But they’re standin’ on a corner and ‘really effecting change’ and THAT IS what’s The Most Important Thing.
    A rainstorm would have rendered this a blank hole…….

    We need a rather large Tea Party gathering right after one of the OWS rallies to show the difference in size,cleanliness,signage and the total scope of the movement. The MSM would portray it as a racist,bigoted unrully mob. The left would send in a bunch of idiots to try to get some media attention,If we act responably the American people will see the difference and it could prove our point that we are not like the occuppiers.

    Stories like this use to make the MSM but since this only hurt their position it was not reported and the regular Joe will never know about this. Even if this story were to be featured on FOX the regular Joe would not see it because he has been convinced that FOX is evil and against him.
