Meanwhile, MSNBC Guest Calls Florida's 6-Week Abortion Ban a 'Death Sentence' for Women

If you ever thought MSNBC would eventually run out of new ways to beclown itself, you were wrong — at least so far. The fake news outlet’s latest ridiculous take centered on Florida’s ban on abortion after six weeks, with a carefully selected guest declaring abortion restrictions a “death sentence” for women.

As reported by NewsBusters, MSNBC host Katie Phang went with the predictable “war on women” silliness, with the aforementioned guest later saying “being pregnant in Florida is like a death sentence.” As Newsbusters observed, if being pregnant in Florida is a war on women and akin to a death sentence, then abortion itself is a “war on unborn children — with a 100-percent fatality rate.”

As one might expect, Phang hosted a couple of women who claimed they endured serious complications while pregnant, and also that healthcare workers refused to take care of them out of fear of laws restricting abortion.

Thing is, the new Florida law, signed into law by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, makes a number of exceptions, including when a mother’s life is in danger, so where was their beef? There wasn’t one — other than the fact that any restrictions, at any time, to unrestricted abortion-on-demand infuriates the pro-abortion left.

NBC News “investigative reporter” Chloe Atkins moaned to Phang:

What we have going on here is all eyes are on the Supreme Court, who [sic]is looking at one of, you know, [the] most anticipated abortion-related cases since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June, Katie.

Phang was all in:

You know, Chloe, we kind of predicted, right, that this war on women was going to keep on going forward, and obviously, the next battle is the abortion pill.

As RedState reported on Friday, the Supreme Court issued a temporary stay to stop legal proceedings on a Texas abortion pill ruling. This of course didn’t sit well with Phang and Atkins.

As my colleague Streiff reported in March 2022, the attack from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris — which continues — on the Florida abortion law which implemented a 15-week ban demonstrates how much the left fears Ron DeSantis.

“My administration will not stand for the unconstitutional [wrong] attack on women’s rights,” Biden tweeted, while Harris claimed that “the right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is non-negotiable.”

Should we note yet again that pro-life advocates aren’t interested in making decisions about the bodies of women; they’re very much interested in the bodies of unborn children, and protecting them from being killed?

As we also reported, Biden, who calls abortion an “essential healthcare service,” wasn’t thrilled about a judge in the aforementioned Texas abortion pill case issuing a ruling to end the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of a popular abortion drug. Biden whined:

The lawsuit, and this ruling, is another unprecedented step in taking away basic freedoms from women and putting their health at risk.

Again, nonsense.

The objective of pro-lifers is the end of indiscriminately killing unborn children, Joe. One might think a self-declared “devout Catholic” like you would understand the difference — but one would be wrong.

The Bottom Line

The Democrat Party and the left as a whole will continue to spin lies into pretend logic and twist the intent of laws restricting abortion until the proverbial cows come home. Hence, conservatives opposed to ending the lives of the unborn must continue to fight the left’s death sentence against them at every turn.
