It was good to hear directly from the candidate. Is it possible to do a similar interview with Mike Lee?

I’m currently leaning towards Bridgewater because of his business experience. We do have enough lawyers in Washington and too few members of Congress who understand firsthand the burdens that the federal government places on business.

I could still be persuaded to vote for Lee, but he needs to convince me soon. Watching his first television ad didn’t do it for me. I have two complaints about it. First, he needs to memorize rather than read his comments. It is distracting to watch his eyes moving back and forth. It seems insincere. Second, he centered his comments on repealling the health care law. It is not going to happen, no matter how much we would like it to. As long as Obama is president we will never get the super-majority necessary to repeal it.

I suggest that our side push legislation to move the painful portions of the law sooner. The other side will have to explain why what is good for 2014 and 2018 is not good for 2011. It would be great to have the union members taxed on their cadillac policies right now rather than 2018.

It happened that both campaigns were ready to set up interviews.

While listening to this interview I couldn’t help to think that Tim Bridgewater talks a lot but doesn’t really say much. He answers each question with very long winded answers. It sounded like a sales pitch to me. I didn’t hear the conviction or the sincerity. I’m sure it was their I just didn’t hear it. Tim Bridgwater is a great guy. I have met him on a few occasions and he was really nice to talk to and said all the right things. The thing we need to make sure and do is not just listen the words of each candidate but look at their actions. Read Erick Erickson’s own words on this and decide for yourself: http://bit.ly/bWL2vH

I went back through your diaries and found it. Thanks for the great work you do on RedState. I enjoy the humor in many of your diaries. It’s good sometimes to laugh at politics.

I have watched Tim for over a year, and I believe he is the best US Senate candidate in the primary.

Tim’s attitude and methods and his actions have impressed me. Words alone are not enough.
