FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Lots of Primaries today.

According to RCP, we’ve got primaries in California, Iowa, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Virginia.  The news has been dominated by California’s, Nevada’s, and of course South Carolina’s – but they’re all important, so if you’re a voter in that state, hie yourselves and any reliable Republican voters within reach to a polling station.  You can let the Democrats in your life sleep in, particularly in New Jersey and Virginia.

Also: KEEP YOUR VIDEO CAMERAS HANDY, PARTICULARLY IF YOU LIVE IN SOUTH CAROLINA.  Anti-reform opponents of Nikki Haley and Bill Connor may be now past the point where their shenanigans can shape public opinion in time for the actual primary election, but there’s plenty of things that you can do to illicitly affect an election.  Fortunately, sunlight is an excellent disinfectant – and, remember: as Mark Steyn notes here, Helen Thomas was taken down by a flipcam.  There’s a reason that both Instapundit and I keep harping on this…

Sergey Shevchuk is the only honest-to-goodness conservative, and he’s seen the horrors of socialist/Communist Russia first-hand – he emigrated with his family at the age of 25 and has built himself a good life, and sees the horrible direction the country is going in, and wants to stop it.

Aslanian has decided that he’s a Tea Party guy – except, the local Tea Party group told him that they don’t want him referring to himself that way because they haven’t endorsed a candidate in this race. Also, he’s been bouncing back and forth between R and D for years, so I’m not sure he’s too dedicated to the R label (and may in fact be either a Dem plant to spoil the race or simply turn into an Alan Specter later on).

Agosta (and Aslanian as well) has puffed up his security credentials but has shied away from saying outright that he’d repeal the HC bill – and he’s said nothing about his pro-life credentials.

Sergey’s pretty firmly against the bill, and wants to do anything possible to yank it or have the SCOTUS overturn it or repeal it. He’s pro-life and as conservative as anyone can find.

Those establishment RINOs and anti-reformers like Larry Richter and Jake Knotts trying to keep Bill Connor and Nikki Haley out of office need to be shown the door.

Send your friends to http://www.voteconnor.com and http://www.nikkihaley.com and ask them to vote for reform

I posted my primary voting plan for all the races in my status line last night and got a lot of comments of thanks for the info and also emailed friends and family. Probably helped at least a dozen or two appreciative friends and family that way….just an idea.

I didn’t expect this issue to sink Helen Thomas at all. That’s great!

I went with Keith Fimian. There was one other voter there while I was there.
