Plug the hole.

I don’t know if Frank Luntz’s focus groups are what you would call reliable, but they’re rarely dull. And this one is pretty darn ornery over the way that the administration is handling Obamaspill.

Via The Right Scoop, via AoSHQ – who also has some very useful advice to Republican legislators on how to deal with the President’s attempts to redefine ‘success’ on this issue from ‘solve the actual problem’ to ‘accomplishing something within the President’s limited core competencies.’

I just have to say that it is a real delight to live in this utopian post-partisan world delivered to us by The One. Isn’t it wonderful that we all just get long now? That focus group just reeked of happy happy happy. The seas truly have parted.

but one that does fit the information we’ve been given so far, including that the oil may be leaking from more than one place…

The woman at 30 secs is an idiot – she says Obama has limited resources? These Obamtrons are truly deaf, dumb & blind.

At 6:00 most of the people agree with Hannity,
why wasn’t everything done to migitate the spill immediately?

The guy at 6:25 gets it…..

The guy at 6:47 does not get anything.

Look at how the people boo the lady at 7:47, this
is what is going on in the entire country.

But if any of that comes to pass, *no one* will want to take the risk, not even China.

And that would forever change energy policy going forward.

It was also tend to explain the strange behavior from both BP and The White House. It would certainly make this a far, far worse disaster than Katrina. I also think it would finish the Obama Admin. for good.

As it is, I have yet to see a worst-case scenario actually play out in the real world, so I’ll reserve judgment until I start to see more evidence of that what that guy’s suggesting is actually playing out…

is that some folks are there are so thick that nothing will ever waken them to what is really going on. The woman at 7:47 is a prime example. These are the folks that are lost; no need to waste time trying to convinve them otherwise.

1)BP was getting told they were building the well incorrectly before it started.

    2) They need Dutch, Danish, Norwegian and Martian vessels over there to suck that oil up. Maybe someone should hand His barackness a straw and tell him to get busy.

what we’ll get is the rigs moving over to the Yucatan side of the gulf and drilling for Pemex instead, only once they’re outside U.S. waters, they’re outside U.S. safety requirements, but the oil will still float over to Louisiana.

Next you’ll tell me he wasn’t involved with 9/11.

Guess Louisiana isn’t getting their oil industry back.

Energy is going to come from the Agency for Federal Unicorn-Based Alimentary Resources aka FUBAR

  • acat

but they’ll be refining crude from Mexican or Cuban territorial waters.

and most of that from oil.

No one is ever going to drive a car, power a train, run an assembly line, heat and cool an entire community, or cook food for thousands from bio, wind, solar, hydro, geo, or unicorn power.

When gasoline goes over $4 a gallon again, suddenly little o will discover the nation WANTS Gulf oil.

…from talking to a couple of petroleum engineers today, that scenario is highly unlikely – but the BOP is definitely beginning to list a little. They can’t have reversed the flow through that top kill manifold fast enough.

If they have trouble getting that relief well to intersect with Macondo, some of what the author of that Oil Drum post is talking about will begin to come into play.

…the two black members weren’t just Obama supporters, they were MILITANTS. They took it as a personal affront that anybody would criticize Obama. They were even worse than the little Che Guevara wannabe twerp in the back row.

That ain’t healthy. And it’s a problem for all of us.

Does anybody else get a kick out of how the media has no idea how in a South Carolina Democrat primary where 60-something percent of the vote is black a guy named Alvin Greene gets 60 percent against a guy named Vic Rawl? It’s just so totally inexplicable how that happens, isn’t it?

  • Leopard1996

A lot of black folks are going to take any negative reporting against Obama and see racist overtones to it. To many of them, if Obama isn’t seen as a success then we will never see another black president. Personally, as a African American, he was the wrong one to be the 1st in this case, and I do think that because of his ineptness that if another black person was the next Ronald Reagan they would have a hard time getting elected.

It gives me happiness to know that Carly has a real shot… supposing this is what the electorate looks like in California.

I also think that it would be awesome that in the event that Babs is retired that General Michael Walsh sends her a hallmark card that says…. “My sincere condolences for your loss in the senatorial race, Ma’am”.

Frank Luntz hired himself out to far left Environmental Defense Fund earlier this year to advise them how to talk Republicans into voting for cap and trade. He first told them not call it cap and trade, told them reps. would be likely to buy the whole thing if framed as a national security issue. Luntz told them many republicans really do believe in climate change (global warming) and like the idea of clean air and American jobs. One report I saw said Luntz encouraged them by saying republicans were tired of partisan bickering and want to move forward on the issue. One of the outrages about Luntz or anyone selling this scam is it rests on the assumption that man made global warming exists, is largely the fault of the evil US middle class who must pay billions in reparations in perpetuity to hedge fund thugs, UN grifters and others, and triggers billions if not trillions more going into the global carbon trading racket which is already infested with organized crime. That’s all separate from the US turning into Spain with 20% unemployment.
