Here’s the Al Gore Masseuse police report.

Fun game for your morning: see how far you get into this report before you develop this sudden and burning need to go find a rock, and throw it at Al Gore.  I personally made it to page 13.

Background, for those unaware of the story: it’s alleged – I want to make that clear; alleged – that back in 2006 Gore attempted to force sexual favors from a on-call Portland, Oregon masseuse.  On the one hand, there are legitimate questions about why the woman didn’t press charges at the time, didn’t pursue a civil case later, and is only now breaking the story with the National Enquirer*: on the other hand… that report up there is alarming.  It even alarmed Gawker, which takes skill. I personally had to read it in stages.

Basically, that report needed to be either the centerpiece of a sexual assault case, or else a criminal libel one.  At this late date, it’ll probably be neither.

Moe Lane

*There are also legitimate answers, too – mostly involving relative power levels, particularly between a powerful male Democratic politician and a female working-class massage therapist – but that’s another issue.

My guess is the left will only be upset if it comes out that he took one of his private aircraft to Oregon just to be with her, instead of using the trip to also do some Mother Gaia campaigning.

Unnecessary carbon footprints stomped into the atmosphere will be his undoing, not the alleged sexual assault.

    — — — — —

I’m also guessing that you can tell snark from reality. But in the time warp we’re currently experiencing, I’m not sure what the difference is anymore.

…..and yeah, this should have been dealt with immediately by the accuser, not years later – statute of limitations not withstanding.

he was probably just doing research for next greenie book.

Heresy, I say. She was just another denier.

  • http://theminorityreportblog.com Repair_Man_Jack

The Portland Oregonian had the story two years ago. They just “chose not to run it.” On some random whim, I imagine.

    please keep us updated.

Must be the same as what’s going on now with Barry’s folks saying “Dontcha dare run it, or we’ll shutcha down as a typical bitter tea-party-supporting, gubmint-overthrowing, domestic terrorist sympathizing Fox News clone.”

Or maybe it was more like “Hi, this is Al, y’all need to bury this, or we’ll expose The Oregonian as using only virgin-rain-forest Teak wood for production pulp and ink that’s really only straight-out-of-the-ground crude oil, even though you and I know that’s not true about the Oregonian.”

…to page 15 before I had to go looking for a very, very large rock to throw.

  • jeffreywturner

He probably ordered a licensed massage therapist thinking he was getting a “licensed massage therapist”, and not an actual licensed massage therapist, if you catch my drift.

However, I would think that he would figure out pretty quick that she was an actual massage therapist when she arrived professionally dressed and with actual massage therapy equipment.

When he was making his order over the phone, he didn’t realize that the person on the other end couldn’t see him making the quotation marks with his hands when he said “licensed massage therapist”.

  • Tbone

whether it is true or not.

    Gore’s new motto:

    “Massage the Whale.”

The angry feminist left sounds strangely like a field of crickets.

Hypocrisy hovers thick in the air.

And that is a good thing. Much as it would delight me to see Mr. Gore get his comeuppance, an accusation is just that. Right now, we don’t know anything about the credibility of the accuser. I’m going to take a wait-and-see approach on this one. Gore is already guilty of enough without adding this to the ledger.

Al Gore A “Crazed Sex Poodle?”(HT: The SMoking Gun)

I don’t think a rock is big enough. Frankly, we need to throw the Globe at this guy.

That being said, the woman pointed out that many of her liberal friends advised her to not say anything, basically paraphrasing, the Globe depends on this guy. The guilt and shame of a sexual assault not enough, she felt the burden from liberal loons, that the fate of the world was at stake.

Another item, she knew, as most women do when experiencing a sexual assault, this was not his first time. She was hoping to stop this from happening to other women. Also, that potentially there may be some others, after hearing of this, that might come forward to stop this monster.

One other thing, her inner thoughts while going through this ordeal was that this man should never be near the Red Button. She mentioned his many mood swings and feared his potential to turn violent. Now, I don’t know about you, but no matter what anyone feels about Bush, the lessor of two evils is how some have considered their votes, that man was truly the greater evil….

  • GCBWI

i only read as far as the beginning of her account of the incident, just past her description of the setup…that was enough.

Like other commenters, i’m wondering if the “wink wink nudge nudge” aspect of the request for a massage got missed, and the hotel called a real massage therapist rather than the kind Al Gore actually wanted. If so, Gore was more than a bit slow to realize what was going on and then behaved like a spoiled rich kid when things didn’t go his way.

  • grandma

After reading 42 pages, I believe grandma. She is correct in bringing this to attention now.

  • falgore

After all, for a person to make these type of very specific allegations opens that person up to serious potential legal liability under theories of defamation (libel/slander).

Come on, Al! Assuming this is a bunch of lies, this woman deserves to be taught a lesson! After all, these accusations, if untrue, give you a clear cut, winning case. The accusations are libelous per se. The only defense that this woman could have is that she is telling the truth!!!

Given that these statements are not true, Al, I expect to see legal action filed in short order. /snark.

BTW, yes the “algore” in my name does stand for Al Gore.

  • tngal

The smoking gun’s version was the fuinniest thing I’d seen this morning on the story, but then couldn’t find the term in the police report. ‘Course your eyes kind of glaze over after pg 5. Had to call my pool boy, no, um, my masseuse in and asked him what some of those words meant. He’s helpful.

Thank goodness for summaries in the press, like this one, because I don’t know if I could make it all the way to this:

While giving Gore an abdominal massage, she said he demanded that she go lower and soon grabbed her right hand and shoved it under the sheet.

“I felt like I was dancing on the edge of a razor,” she told Detective Molly Daul.

She tried to use an acupressure technique to relax Gore and thought she may have nearly put him to sleep. She went into the bathroom to wash up and came out to pack up.

That’s when, she says, Gore wrapped her in an “inescapable embrace” and fondled her back, buttocks and breasts as she was trying to break down her massage table.

She called him a “crazed sex poodle” and tried to distract him, pointing out a box of Moonstruck chocolates on a nearby table. He went for the chocolates and then offered her some, cornering her, fondling her and shoving his tongue in her mouth to french kiss as he pressed against her.

She said he tried to pull her camisole strap down.

She said she told him to stop it. “I was distressed, shocked and terrified.”

She said she was intimidated by his physical size, calling him “rotund,” described his “violent temper, dictatorial, commanding attitude” — what she termed a contrast from his “Mr. Smiley global-warming concern persona.”

Later, she said, he tried to lure her into the bedroom to hear pop star Pink’s “Dear Mr. President” on his iPod dock. She said Gore sat on one end of the bed and motioned for her to join him.

Suddenly, she said, he “flipped me on my back, threw his whole body face down over a top me, pinning me down.”

She said she loudly protested, “Get off me, you big lummox!”

    (OregonLive.com)

The victim noted Al Gore’s “violent temper, dictatorial, commanding attitude.”

    Naaah. Couldn’t have been Algore.

    to ask:
Who’s the bigger sleaze, Al Gore or Bill Clinton?

  • MathMom

Years ago, when I first saw this performance reported on the news, I said to my husband that I almost expected him to punctuate his performance with a revolver shot to his own temple. He looked like he’d gone off the rails back then.

I read the entire report from his accuser. It has the ring of truth to me.

  • MathMom

Remember this? When I read the woman’s complaint, this immediately came to mind. I think Gore has been bullying people for a long time and getting away with it.

  • ModernAgeFan

I made it to page 32. Reading this was unnerving. It is scary thinking how close Gore came to actually being President. I voted for GW both times but I did not always agree with him, there were times when he made me really angry. Compared to Al Gore, GW looks like a saint. I also reflected on how hopelessly alone the masseuse must be because she was not just confronting a sexual predator but a liberal Icon, whose persona is so powerful to people that believe his fables. Any criticism of Gore is automatically seen as an attack on the things he promotes and believes in. The narrative is gripping because it gives an inside / intimate portrait of the type of man Al Gore really is, unfiltered and unedited. I agree with the masseuse, he has forced himself on others many times before. No wonder Clinton chose him as a running mate.

that was a major mistake right there, even if the rest of the accusation is not true.

When a Republican is accused of something, we hear about “the seriousness of the charges” and such – it doesn’t matter whether it’s true or not, just that it sounds sensational. The press doesn’t give a rat’s butt about whether the accuser has any credibility or not.

But here the press sat on this one and willfully ignored it, just like they did for years about Edwards.

Earlier I said that his display indicates a practiced and serial ?date? rapist. These videos underscore my assessment.

His anger during the speech is calculated, practiced and used for effect. He lacked spontaneous passion and went straight into anger. Oh yes, he is practiced at getting a bang for his buck, AND at his stage anger performances.

I personally think he’s a low budget actor, but ACTOR, HE IS.

Which makes what he did to Grandma worse. A sexual predator will try to scare their victims if they don’t comply. Letting her think he was out of control isn’t beneath them. They are focused on the hunt and gratification. He’s used this ploy before. All the while grandma would never have realized he was in control of himself. He wasn’t about to bruise or bloody her. But she didn’t know that.

He displayed the manipulation and calculations of a successful predator who uses all possible tricks at his disposal to get his way. He knew she wouldn’t – couldn’t blow the whistle on him and run out of the room by virtue of who he is and who she is. He probably was in hotter pursuit of her because she wasn’t what he expected.

Child abusers and rapists use subtle AND/or direct fear tactics to make the intended victim perform. They know exactly what they are doing and take pride in how they carry out their coercion.

As a side note: If you really think about it, his GW videos are scare tactics. He just might get off on that also.

Too bad grandma gave him the benefit of the doubt about his intentions when he hugged her when she arrived. She didn’t heed the warnings that should have gone off, but I think she mentioned that she thought he was such a good earth loving guy, etc. and that could have muffled her intuition.

The good guy persona that child abusers display to the mom of the intended target is what gives the abuser his access code. They depend on their persona.

The good guy persona is what lets women put their guard down. And if the guy is a creep, with a good guy persona, the lady could be in a precarious situation.

He really needs to be stopped before he …. I hope others point the finger also. He’s done this before.

p.s. Most “smooth” sexual predators don’t get caught until they have a hundred or so victims under their belt.

  • grandma

But it’s tied to the gist of it all. Sorry.
