Yes. Yes, this 'big government, federal override of the states' thing is working out *ever* so well.

Heckuva job there, Barry.

A popular section of Pensacola Beach has been closed because of oil that washed ashore there.

Government officials closed about a quarter-mile section of Casino Beach on Thursday. Thick pools of oil washed ashore there Wednesday.

…if by ‘on the case’ you mean ‘stopping Louisiana from doing its emergency dredging and berm constructing operation’ and ‘fighting the overturn of its knee-jerk oil drilling moratorium.’  Both of which are much more likely to please campaign contributors than, say, the people of Louisiana and Florida.  Speaking of the latter: hey, guess who’s mad (Rubio) about the way that the government’s mucking up Obamaspill?  And guess who’s being an apologist for it (Crist)?

Again: heckuva job, Barry. What’s your handicap, these days?

    tell the Coast Guard, the EPA, and the Army Corps of Engineers to go study their navels and do whatever is necessary to protect their people, their environments, and their jobs. We are in a form of civil war with the states fighting the tyranny of DC and the White House.

    It’s much better than what Big Sis told DHS, to stop referring to it as the Gulf oil spill and start calling it the BP oil spill. She also told them to stop saying that Obama was out golfing, to instead say that he was out clearing his mind.

    Yeah, BP screwed up, but where are the full scale collection and containment efforts by Barry and company? non existent. Why is Obama letting them use so much dispersant, wouldn’t it be better to let the oil surface and collect it?

    Of the men I work with have practical ways for dealing with the oil. Seems they have worked clean-ups before and the Feds don’t- give- a-**** attitude is frosting them something fierce.

    This “well, you can’t be building berms or using that/those (insert material, equipment, workers) in the clean-up process because the proper paperwork hasn’t been filed/the workers need to be government certified and vetted/the equipment isn’t powered by wind/sun/unicorn farts” is some of the silliest clap-trap around.

    Those persons of questionable parentage can go suck bilge water.

    are my favorite beaches in the world. The white sands and dunes of Pensacola, Navarre, Destin, Ft. Walton Beach are beautiful.

    However if the oil made the waves larger there, I may have to trade black tar beaches for better surfing.

    Where has this moniker been in the last 60+days?
    My favorite hobby is fishing the back water bays of the Texas coast in a kayak, I have lived in New Orleans, appreciate the time spent in various fish camps, and had great stays in Gulf Shores, Destin and Pensacola.

    BP screwed up at the drill head. Obama, the domestic-terrorist-in-chief has purposely hindered all clean up operations that have resulted in this accident becoming a disaster for one of America’s great resources.

    He has to be made to pay.

    I’m a grandma, could you picture me trying to carry a police officer….head have to carry me. Doesn’t matter he gets paid overtime….

    rubio hasn’t led in the polls since mid June. While Crist gets free pub everytime the spill makes the papers. Either indicating what he wants to to, or what he’s asking the feds to do, or showing how “concerned” he is about it washing up. Not saying he’s doing anything mind you, just saying he’s talking about it and getting the ink every time he opens his mouth.
