Nationalizing King Samir Shabazz?

Coming soon to a series of campaign commercials near you.

With the B-Cast’s latest data dump on Shabazz (who is pretty much the public, tattooed, hate-filled face of the New Black Panther party at this moment) it’s no longer really a question of if candidates are going to be bringing his case up as it is when candidates are going to be bringing his case up as a campaign issue.  Disclaimer: I have not been informed that any candidate is planning to use Shabazz and/or the NBPP as a campaign issue, and I have not privately advised any candidate to do so.  I am merely publicly advising it.

At this point, people are probably muttering ‘Willie Horton’ – so let us revisit that campaign strategy, after everyone watches the two commercials here and here.  It’s kind of important, given that the Left routinely acts as if GHWB used the time to openly accuse Michael Dukakis of having Horton sacrifice white babies to Satan, instead of simply personalizing the heck out of what was frankly a stupid policy in the first place.  You can argue the merits of a furlough program, and you can argue how much Dukakis was building on the work of previous administrations in implementing it – but letting out life-without-parole, first degree murderers for the weekend is what made it a stupid policy, and if you brag about the policy as a whole you’re just asking for your political opponents to bring it up.

I bring all of this up because of the aforementioned muttering.  When/if Shabazz shows up in a campaign ad the screams of racism will fill the airwaves, as will the breathless comparisons to the Horton case.  Unfortunately for the Left, that’s not going to particularly help them: because the reason why the Horton ad worked was because it was true.  Dukakis did tout a furlough program that let a convicted murderer go out and rob/rape a couple.  And an ad that brings any or all of the following points:

…is likewise going to work because all of those points are true.  I would say that a commercial that brought up the above would be a net gain for the GOP candidate in roughly 85% of all Congressional Districts, and as the voters in the remaining 15% or so pretty much think that ‘Republican’ is a synonym for ‘demon’ anyway, well*.

Attorney General Eric Holder really needs to start thinking about how to get this case reopened.  It’d be a case of allowing political considerations to trump legal ones – but then again, so was his decision to deep-six the voter intimidation case in the first place, so in for a penny, in for a pound…

*Put another way: the GOP could run a test pattern in those districts and still get the Democrats accusing them of racism, so what the heck.

the fact that this case was already won when it was dropped. All that was left was sentencing.
I know that the case was ‘won’ by the defendant not showing up, which causes my suspecious mind to think the defendants were told, “Don’t worry, you will be cleared.”, before the hearing.

The other message not mentioned is countless radical blacks may see this as a green light for future voting intimidation or even violence against whites.

interest in prosecuting interference with/intimidation of White voters. Imagine a Klansman showing up in full Klan regalia at a predominately White/Conservative polling place but in a district where a tiny handful of Blacks resided and voted brandishing a Lester Maddox axe handle or some other menacing-looking implement.

How much time would Eric Holder waste before getting warrants and indictments and everything he could lay his hands on in order to create the media spectacle that such an incident would surely become?

They are as selective about their support of the 14th Amendment as they are the 2nd Amendment and the 10th Amendment and border security. If it inures to the benefit of the Left, it gets done. If it cuts the other way then they look the other way. It is as simple as that. 2+2 does, indeed, equal 4.

…appears on sites to make conservatives look bad by espousing extreme positions. Named after the singer Moby, who got on the record advocating precisely that for the 2004 elections, the doofus.

Distinguished from ‘concern troll’ in that the latter allegedly goes on sites to make liberals feel beleaguered and discouraged. I don’t really believe that it happens with them as much as they think that it does, but then, I wouldn’t, would I?

Zimbabwe Prez Declares Open Season on Whites

Since February, violent armed mobs have been seizing white-owned farms ? evicting, beating and sometimes killing their owners — all with the full support of President Robert Mugabe. Most black Zimbabweans oppose the reign of terror. Zimbabwe voters rejected farm confiscations in a referendum.

Ding! Give that man a cigar!

That is EXACTLY what this was: a direct message to all similarly-inclined groups: go forth and do likewise in 2010 — the DOJ has got your back.

  • izoneguy

which WILL be prosecuted by the new Republican President and AG starting Jan. 21st 2013…..In addition the Shabazz incident must be re-opened.

BTW I checked out your site and I LIKE it. It is pretty clear you are having fun doing this.

    Just don’t stop.

It wasn’t GHWB who first brought him up first in the campaign.

    It was AL GORE!

And we all know the Dems never play the race card against each other…just ask Bill Clinton.

Are CCPs void at precints? Cuz….well, I live and vote in a small town in Oklahoma, and the voting takes place in a baptist church basement, which the separation of blahh blahh blahhers hate. Anyway, I can assure you I would not be, well, I’d vote……..

  • edintexas

I always knew people living in the city were significantly unlike those of us rural folks in Red States, but I didn’t know they spoke a different language which demanded a whole dictionary of their own.

Guess I can go there and find out what CCP means. I knew what CCCP meant, but there seems to be a “C” missing so maybe this isn’t some Communist party designation. :-)

  • edintexas

I can’t post at least one of the suggested definitions of CCP, and none appear to fit Bigmaude’s syntax (Are CCPs void at precints? [sic]).

So while I also vote in a small country Baptist church, I simply haven’t a clue what CCPs might be. Help!

  • edintexas

The decision to drop the case before sentencing wasn’t ideological, it was racist. Well, since racism is part of the Democrat’s ideology, I guess it was ideological too.

  • tlhanger

First of all I would like to to know how many people have been brought up on charges and convicted of Hate Speech. Then I would like to know why this guy hasn’t been charged by the same law the Democrats made? This could be a pure win win if we ever did anything right.

    CCP = Concealed Carry Permit

Fed law prohibits carrying a gun into (or near) a polling place, concealed or not. However, Federal law says nothing about a large knife, tomahawk, or club – unless you threaten someone with it. Or, if you do threaten someone with your club/ax/knife/hatchet, you get a pass if you’re black (although I’m not sure about black on black violence).

Mao said that power comes out of the mouth of a gun – but that was before ubiquitous cameras. Now power comes out of the lens of a camera – video or still, cell-phone or dedicated. Take pictures and video of anyone acting threatening – be ready to pass of the camera in a game of keep-away in case the subject or the cops decide to try and confiscate it. Film the attempt to confiscate and increase the number of devices they need to confiscate to suppress the images. Post the pictures or video on-line as soon as possible – preferably from your phone or 3G device.

Remember that cameras lie – a consumer grade device has a limited field of view and even more limited focal area. Sound is usually bad in consumer grade video. Cameras don’t show what happened before the button was pressed or after it was released. If you take the pictures/video, make sure you capture what you need to prove your point. If others take pictures/video, force them to film what you want shown. If you’re willing, you can take advantage of the faults of cameras, particularly video. If not, watch out for someone using these tricks on you. Sound is frequently poor and highly directional (anyone hear the helicopter overhead in the Rodney King beating video?).

Here’s an example of a trick – put someone behind the cameraman who shouts insults at the target, causing them to respond in kind or even resort to violence. Have the cameraman speak much more moderately at the same time and the video will appear to show the target over-reacting to the audio of the cameraman.
