Look a Roby win over Barber in AL2 and another barn burner primary for Governor.

  • redtillimdead

Bentley leads 56-44. I think your thinking of AG Com., where Dale Peterson endorsed John McMillan trails with 49%.

where is that post the most competative?

I hesitate to suggest why Barber lost 60-40. Roby might be unimpressive to some but she is a proven winner in Montgomery. One on one politics can trump internet ads? Barber had great ads but politics is more then great ads.

I also add that Alabama is a little bit of Baptist heaven. I don’t drink but I am not a prude about it but I note I have never heard of a bar owner or a salloon keeper or a pool hall operator win a GOP primary in the South. That’s a handicap down here.

She had 48% before the runoff. It’s not a surprise she won. Hopefully now she will go on to victory in November.

I’m thrilled to see this here. I live under Comrade Himes’ regime in Fairfeild County, Conn., and can’t wait until November to send him to the unemployment line.

Rob Merkle is the real deal. We have a tough primary here and have to support Rob 110%. The hand-picked establishment guy in the race is a RINO State Senator (Dan Debicella) who voted for CT’s high-tax, sacred-cow spending budget in 2007, saying some BS about “not letting the perfect be the enemy of the good.” It had huge tax increases and didn’t go near spending cuts. Plus, if Debicella ran into some ethics at a party, they’d need to be introduced. He got some other candidate knocked off the ballot with some back-room deals, but he couldn’t stop Merkle, whose petitions were unimpeachable. All Debicella wants is to be a Congressman for his own ambition, not to serve We the People. He thinks he needs to bow to the leftists to get there. He’ll do and say anything. It makes me ill.

The GOP here wants to put another “go along to get along” Republican in this seat. Why? When we have a real conservative in this race, why take some watered-down substitute for Himes? Himes-Debicella isn’t a real choice — it’s the same guy twice. Merkle is surging, and I hope more and more people speak up for Rob and deliver a defeat to the wishy-washy Republican establishment in this primary and then send a wake-up call to DC when we take our distrcict back in November.

I knew this Dan Debicella guy in college at UPenn. He was a slime ball then, and I’m sure not much has changed. When the truth gets out about him, I don’t think he can raise the cash to defend himself. Himes is backed by all the big spenders, including the dirty union thugs and the thugs at Goldman Sachs. Debicella’s no better.

In college Dan was basically IMPEACHED as president of the student assembly. He even admitted to misleading the student body. I found this old article from the Penn Daily: http://thedp.com/node/37035

    The main point:

Debicella said … that he “misled the body on certain occasions.” “I think this is the larger part of my mistake,” he said. “It’s something I thought would keep the body unified at all costs but it’s not.”

Debicella can’t defend himself once the truth comes out. This Merkle guy seems like a better choice to send to DC. Anything we can do to throw some support behind him?

Dan Debicella can’t win because of his record and his policies.

RECORD: He’s voted for nearly a 10% increase in spending while in Hartford, voted to raise taxes, introduced and voted to have ALL CT CITIZENS PAY $200,000 for astroturfing a field in his district and $500,000 for a park rehabilitation in his district (can you says earmarks and pork) – why is it another Towns citizens responsibility for astroturfing his fields! And there’s many examples of wild spending. He has all the earmarks (pun intended) of politics as usual – the very thing citizens across America are tired of.

POLICIES: He wants to cap the “increase” in spending of the federal government – check out his own op ed in the Stamford Advocate in January. He doesn’t want a border fence as he stated in the Westport debate, as noted above he wants to increase medicare payments which, by definition will increase spending.

Dan fashions himself a moderate – “If Jim Himes were more like Joe Lieberman, a true moderate, I wouldn’t be in this race” was his quote; moderates were in steady decline for the last 20 years and lost in the last election – RERUNS ALWAYS END THE SAME.

Congratulations, Dan Debicella, on your decisive primary victory. Anyone who wants to support Dan can do so here: https://debicella.blue-swarm.com/donate/.

Building a new majority in the House of Representatives is the most direct route to bringing balance to a government that is spinning out-of-control on spending, taxes, and regulation. The incumbent Jim Himes clarified where he stands ? with us when he visits Fairfield County but with Nancy Pelosi when she needs his vote in Washington.

Dan has a different set of values ? he is running for Congress ?to restore the values of free enterprise and individual liberty to Washington. Fairfield County families want practical solutions on the economy, healthcare, and transportation. I will use my background as a businessman and a State Senator to implement new ideas to get our economy growing again and create jobs for our families.?

All the answers coming out of Washington are for ?more government??whether bailing out banks, taking over auto companies, building record deficits for pork-barrel stimulus, or having government take-over our healthcare system. Our current Congressman, Jim Himes, has been a rubber-stamp for this big government agenda. I believe there is a better way. Through solutions that support small businesses and empower middle class families, I believe that we can get our country back on the right track.?

Our government is pushing measures that will make our country poorer, more vulnerable, and less free. It is time to push back.
