Sharron says, “Apologize to Petraeus.”

I stole this line from Jim Geraghty, because it’s the perfect way to visualize this latest ad from the Sharron Angle campaign. In this one, Harry Reid is reminded that lying about how you treat our military personnel is a bad idea, and that he should apologize for it:

Isn’t it nice to have a grown-up around who has some small hope of making Harry Reid behave like one?

PS: If you’re wondering why Harry Reid thinks that he can get away with this, well, it’s pretty simple: the ability to easily link to inconvenient video is fairly new for the Internet (never forget that YouTube started up after the 2004 election), and Reid doesn’t really have the mental flexibility needed to deal effectively with the new way of things. Honestly, he’s been saying and doing some bizarre things lately…

    When did this take place?

see it. That would be a shame as this is a devastating ad. How can you defend against your own words: “I was against the surge before I was for it”?
Ask John Kerry how that strategy worked for him.
    Go Sharon!

I was trying to think of the last full-minute ad I’ve seen. Aside from the ridiculous waste of money Barack put into his 2008 infomercial, I couldn’t think of any. But that might just be me. Reagan’s “bear” ad was 30 seconds. LBJ spent a full minute on the “daisy” ad, but I don’t think they invented 30 second ads until the 1970′s. Heh.

I don’t care who you are.

On the serious side, the left may have successfully used the internet to astroturf but they can’t run from their words and deeds. We may have been a little behind the curve starting out but we’ve caught and exceeded their expectations.

Once on the internet it’s forever. Well, unless they get their Net Neutrality and start taking down sites like the one below:

“Harry cannot run from his record.”

Yeah, well he cannot run ON his record, either.

I do hope your fine commercial is rewarded with some more donations.

Well, done! Harry Reid would rather talk about football uniforms than our men and women serving in uniform.
