Democratic Death Panel Watch: Baron Hill, IN-09.

The DCCC is cutting Hill loose; while it’s being – nervously – categorized as being merely an internal dispute, the practical end result is that the section of the DCCC that can do unlimited funding (independent expenditures) has canceled critical ad time while the section of the DCCC that cannot (coordinated) will be offering, at best, a token 87K.  Hill, of course, is the super-genius who did this last year:

His opponent is Todd Young, who Jim Geraghty notes is somebody who could use a little more funding himself. Hill is listed by both RCP and Cook as having a Toss-Up race; more to the point, he’s precisely the sort of politician who thinks that his first name is also his job description.

Send him home.

I was debating to start a separate thread and then I saw this entry and it seemed as good a place as any to post this article/data. Thanks,

In late July, my discussions with Republican strategists and conservatives who were closely watching the 2010 House races yielded a list of ?The Underfunded 20?: GOP challengers who had favorable conditions such as a conservative-leaning district, or strong issues to run on, but who needed enough cash to ensure their chances of victory weren?t swept away by a deluge of negative ads.

Mid-September is a good time to revisit that list, salute a few candidates for improving their standing, remind folks of the ones who still need help, and spotlight another handful who could be on the verge of key victories.

Your not going to tell me how to run my meeting. This guy? thinks he OWNS the town? Who does he think? he is. We own him! These people (our elected employees) need to understand we own them. Is Rep. Baron Hill a communist? He sure speaks as one.

P.S. Thats not a fire you smell, it’s TEA in November !

Being on the ground in Indiana 9, there is such a wave of Todd Young support in this mostly conservative district, excluding Bloomington (home of Indiana U). Even Hill’s hometown of Seymour is looking like a small win for Young. Todd is a great story, military officer, family man, provides free legal services for adoptions. We could not ask for a better candidate in IN-9 to send that bum “The Baron” packing on Nov 2nd. Hill has voted for everything Obama/Pelosi put forth, even cap and tax! Good by Baron, maybe you can shoot some hoops with Barry at the white house.

In the old days an arrogant, condescending, self-important lib like Baron Hill could get away with a public display of petulance, because the complacent, status quo MSM would not consider it worth reporting. But now? The MSM is being bypassed by average citizens. It’s free communications in an open, democratic society. What could be better?
I knew that this little outburst would come back to haunt BH. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving pol.

Check this ad…it’s a similar twist on the old town hall footage but it makes a point about politicians hating new media. Haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8b8XIR_B_g
