Meet Vicky Hartzler (R CAND, MO-04).

This would have been up yesterday, except that YouTube rather spectacularly melted down when it comes to updates. Vicky is running against Ike Skelton, who has been less and less successful in pretending to be a conservative over the years; Vicky is doing her best to resolve this dilemma for the incumbent.

Vicky’s site is here. The race is considered competitive, which is pretty impressive right there.

    ….a “meet Jeff Perry” thread(he’s running in MA-10).
    He just got promoted to a Young Gun, and the NRCC just began a big ad buy against the Democrat nominee, Bill Keating.
    Perry is the energizer bunny of campaigners; he’s everywhere. He’s got a critical schedule of debates coming up and can use all the support(financial and otherwise) he can get. So please consider it.

    I am impressed with Vicky Hartzler

    Ike Skelton was elected when I lived in MO as a 19 year college student.
    Two of his classmates that year were Dick Gephardt (MO3) & Harold Volkmer(MO9)

    Missour had 5 open congressional seats in 1976-out of ten-I would not have bet on Ike Skelton being the longest served of those guys. He’s a wonderful reason why the seniority system assures of that fairly average guys will be chairman.

    The seniority system where its how long you hang around-as opposed to what smarts you have-is not a good select leaders IMO. No one wants me to do a 5000 word post on the subject but lets just say earmarks-pork barrelling-logrolling-deficit spending is helped along by the seniority system.

    She needs to point out that Skelton is treating the voters in his district as if they’re simpleton 2-year olds.

    I hope he’s not allowed to get away with it.

    I’m in MO-4 and I know that we’ve slowly lost Ike Skelton to the Pelosi pack of progressives. We must support this wonderful candidate who served honorably in the statehouse, went home to her farm to be a wife and mother and only now defies the Goliath because she sees a broken Washington. Give, share and inform. We need Vicky in Missouri… and voting in DC.

    Ike Skelton is Nancy Pelosi minus 5%. He votes with Pelosi & the DEM Leadership 95% of the time! MO-4 is a very conservative district that voted for Bush 43 both times AND overwhelmingly for McCain over Oblahblah. C’mon, Missouril. Time to retire Ike. Once. And. For. All.

    C ook just moved the race to a tossup, a recent local poll showed them tied at 42-42, and Hartzler’s internal polls have her ahead. She’s got everything going her way with just 2 weeks left. The trolls have even started to come to her FB page, asking if she can recite the 14th Amendment. They’re getting real desperate. :)
