I came to this country from a socialistic/democratic country 21 years back. The dems have taken the play book from the 3rd world. Politics there are not about issues such as objective economic matters, rule of law or policies. It is all about political stunt, name calling, class warfare, bribing, voter intimidation, vote stealing and some time downright murdering of opponents. No one can deny; Jerry brown has a consistent failure track record across all level of government. Unfortunately in a two party system since he is the nominee, he automatically gets the vote of people who always vote for the donkey party. Perfect candidate to represent the donkey party. Future Governor Whitman needs to come out swinging hard for new laws in CA that push hard for every business in the state to use EVerify.

If anyone and anything illustrates the mess that is immigration in this country and the ability or rather the inability of people who hire employees to be tricked with false documents, Future Governor Whitman has first hand experience now and the right to make such demands because of this mess.

In CA we have the initiative process, hopefully Future Governor Whitman will start pushing for an EVerify use initiative in the Golden state.

I disagree that GA was acting as Brown’s Agent. If you follow her she has her own agenda. Usually she is getting huge hush settlements for her clients, but she likes to stick her toes into politics, mainly to get an Republican candidate unelectable. JB’s campaign is not upset about GA’s actions, they just didn’t play a role in it. IMHO.

Allred is a long time, personal friend of Brown. She’s worked with him on many occasions. The problem here is BROWN not ALLRED. Allred was theinstrumentality for Brown to accomplish his smear.

Brown needs to be held accountable for this. Can you just imagine how this went down?

Brown: Yo! Gloria! Need a little boost in the polls.
Allred: Dude! Whatssup?
Brown: Got the goods can you deliver?

And the beat goes on. The rest is history.

How convenient this was timed just before the debate scheduled for Spanish-TV that would be the main gateway for Whitman to make inroads into the Hispanic community.

Instead, the Democrats have hijacked the event, with the media’s help, to give an air of damaged goods around Whitman. By the time these interviews and the charges are refuted, no one will be around to hear it and the papers will cover it minimally – and the damage will have been done.

The housekeeper on the other hand has admitted to the following: (1) entering the country illegally; (2) working in the country without proper authorization; (3) fraudulently obtaining and presenting documents to her employer and to the federal government; (4) attempting to blackmail Meg Whitman into pulling some (probably illegal) strings to obtain a green card for her; (5) remaining in the country illegally, even after acknowledging it to her former employer; and (6) vindictively targeted Whitman for personal destruction because of Whitman’s insistence on following the law.

Even worse, this housekeeper is Exhibit A of the kind of entitlement present in the mindset of a person who is in the country illegally and feels comfortable admitting that fact in front of literally millions of people on live television. And of a mindset that is willing to blackmail her way into citizenship, and who is waiting for the Democrats to deliver on their promise of amnesty for all illegal aliens such as herself.

Meg Whitman should explain this story over and over to the voters, every detail, just harp on it. And all the while demanding that Ms. Santillan and anyone known by the authorities to be in the country illegally be deported from the country post haste. She’d be elected in a landslide, and America would have finally a enjoyed a truly enlightening “teachable moment” in the debate on illegal immigration. I’m hearing that “hedging,” so common with politicians of either ilk, when asked a question, the answer upon which the politician is aware, his or her electibility depends heavily.

Why not make that bold and Constitutional answer?
The one which says, “I’m fully aware of the power and weight of the 25% Spanish electorate.  It is to those VOTING citizens who have moved methodically and Legally through the immigration process to achieve said priviliges of American Citizenship, that I say, ‘no one will step ahead of a Legal Resident Alien’s place in line with blanket amnesty.  No amnesty at all-period.’  We dont reward illegal behavior with a prize.  American Citizenship is earned and not for barter or sale at any price.  If a person enters this country without the proper procedure, that individual has automaticaly committed a crime.  
For the students who have somehow managed to game the system so as to obtain a degree at American Taxpayers’ expense- now it’s time to pay the piper.  This is a nation of laws and just because it may not play compassionate in feel-good politics, there is no wiggle room on my stance.  You will need to return to your country of origin and begin the process anew.”
