Meet the Fallujah Four.

These would be the four Democrats [Sen. Barbara Boxer (D, CA); Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA-30); Rep. Dennis Kuchinich (D, OH-10); and Rep. Raul Grijavla (D, AZ-07)] who provided letters of introduction and support to the pro-terrorist groups Code Pink/Global Exchange in 2004.  Those groups used these letters to facilitate their delivery over a half a million dollars’ worth of aid to terrorists in Fallujah actively fighting American troops; which is, by the way, treason by any reasonable interpretation of the US Constitution.

Note that I am not accusing these Members of Congress of committing treason, merely the American members of Code Pink and Global Exchange.  Rep. Waxman – one of the Congressmen involved – claims that he was not aware that the letter of introduction and support that he provided would be used in support of ‘insurgents*’ (by which Waxman means terrorists shooting at American and allied forces in Iraq); this ignorance is appallingly possible, given that Waxman is a Democrat, and thus defaults to being appallingly pig-ignorant on national security, national defense, and foreign affairs. No word as of yet what the other three Members of Congress were thinking – or, indeed, whether they were thinking at all.  No doubt if asked they will likewise deny treasonous intent on their part: it is generally preferable to be thought merely abjectly stupid, instead of guilty of a crime that technically carries the death penalty.

After the fold is a list of the Fallujah Four – and their opponents in the upcoming election.  For while being duped by pro-terrorist groups like Code Pink and Global Exchange is not treasonous, neither is it something to reward with a position of trust and responsibility in the United States government.

Henry Waxman CA-30 Charles Wilkerson
Dennis Kuchinich OH-10 Peter Corrigan
Raul Grijalva AZ-07 Ruth McClung

*Translation: don’t think to pretend that this isn’t an issue, Democrats.  Rep. Waxman’s office knows precisely how bad this looks, which is why they’re also trying to brag about how Waxman voted to keep funding the war.

. . .we can’t say they have not provided sufficient material with which to work. The problem may be that there is too much which needs addressing, and issues like this one may well slip through the cracks of time and relative import. (And yes: things are so bad that stongly-arguable Congressional/Senatorial treason is relegated to the back-burner.)

I’d like nothing more than to see all four of these individuals called to the carpet and made to explain their thinking on a nationally televised public forum, then made to suffer the consequences of their actions due to public opinion and Law. But the issue will more than likely die on the vine, due to the economy and more pressing issues. Sad, tragic and wrong, but I’m afraid it is true.

That and the idea of beaming a close-up of a sweaty, nervous Henry Waxman into people’s homes in high definition might be hard for anyone to forgive, despite good reason.

Delivered to people who enjoy blowing up/killing/committing mayhem against our military/citizens.

Does this fall into the arena of the aiding and abetting the enemy?

Or maybe fall into this lovely category:

    1. betrayal of country: a violation of the allegiance owed by somebody to his or her own country, e.g. by aiding an enemy.
    2. treachery: betrayal or disloyalty
    3. act of betrayal: an act of betrayal or disloyalty

AKA Treason and the excuse of “I didn’t know they would do that or ” the dog ate my homework” won’t pass muster this time.

than sending some military folks to DC come January to give Waxman et al fits..

Like Allen West, or Ilario Pantano….

You want to charge code pink with treason you need to have a declared war. Were the people remaining in Fallujah an army entitled to the protection of the geneva convention and representing the legitimate government of Iraq; or where they just a motley crew of criminals.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

    …more accurately, value-added it a little. :)

I used to have a link, unfortunately now broken (biden.senate.gov doesn’t resolve any more, our government knows nothing about web standards), where Joe Biden, of all people, explains in detail how there is no constitutional difference between a declaration of war and an authorization of force (which we had for Iraq).

    Well done.

Replacing the Fallujah Four yahoos will be glorious (I think we have a good chance at at least two of them)…and it will be especially delicious if heroes like West, Pantano and Popaditch take their place in the House as well.

    From The Obama Timeline:

Jodie Evans, co-founder of Code Pink, also met with the Taliban on a trip to Afghanistan. Evans is a friend of Viet Cong sympathizer Jane Fonda, and was one of Obama?s major fundraisers. On June 2009 Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin brought Obama a letter from the terrorist group Hamas.

In September 2009 Evans and Benjamin met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in New York, when he gave a speech at Columbia University. Columbia, Obama?s alma mater, received $100,000 from the Alavi Foundation, a Muslim organization believed to be controlled by the Iranian government, shortly after Ahmadinejad was scheduled to speak there.

According to BigGovernment.com, Obama met with Evans ?at a high profile Hollywood fundraiser just days after she attempted to storm the stage during Sarah Palin?s acceptance speech. ?Evans had committed identity theft that enabled her to sneak past security at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. After the incident, the mainstream media refused to report on the ties between Obama and Jodie Evans.?

Code Pink has placed ads on the Muslim Brotherhood web site www.ikhwaneb.com. Code Pink?s co-founder is Jodie Evans, a top Obama fundraiser. Evans has publicly called for the kidnapping of former President Bush, his wife Laura, and other members of his administration in ?citizens? arrests? for war crimes related to the September 11 terrorist attacks and the Iraq War.

Despite Code Pink?s activities, Obama has shown no reluctance to appear in public with Evans, who has been a frequent visitor to the White House?and who stated in a June 2008 interview that Osama bin Laden had a ?valid argument? for the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
