It did not age well.  Oh, my, did it not age well.

(Via Battle ’10) Although I suspect that the participants in said video would bitterly argue my observation, assuming that any of them are sober at this moment.  No, wait, it’s 8 AM on the Left Coast; they won’t start the anticipatory heavy drinking until about 1 PM my time.

    That was easily the most disturbing and eerie video of 2008; young chillins from Bel Air and Hollywood being coached by their liberal parents into singing for their Dear Leader.

    …I still can’t believe this stuff worked! Truly a testament to some crazy times.

    I sometimes think if Obama had just ditched this bizarre youth-oriented movementism after he won the primary if half of the disappointment (on the Dem/Independent side, at least) could have been forestalled — and thus mitigated these losses. He probably was going to win in 2008 no matter what, in retrospect, so he didn’t need to build himself up into whatever sort of public entity deserves a creepy video like the above.

    But whatever, congratulations on your new House, guys.

    I travelled the yellow brick road of Trancendental Meditation (TM for those who remember). Now, I’m not here to disparage TM but, as I watched this video, I became acutely aware that the mantra that I was given is dangerously close to what these people are chanting. Yikes!!
    ps: Voted early. Polling place was brisk. Dad, mom and two daughters voted conservative/TP/GOP across the board.
