PS: No, it’d be kind of silly and childish if the GOP had returned a donkey that had been sneeringly given to them in 2006. Returning one that had been sneeringly given to them in 1992? That’s awesome.

    It would look bad if they had given it over before they knew they had succeeded. Also, it probably took a while to find the stupid thing, though I give props to whoever remembered to hold on to it for 18 years. I want to hear whoever did that explain what fit of pique caused them to do so. Personally, I would have burned the thing in 1994.

    I love the sentiment of the bumper sticker.

    but this design doesn’t work … bumper stickers MUST be brief and legible from another car …

    what’s legible on this design is “OBAMA 2012″ …. which is the EXACT opposite of what you want the message to be

    it’s one of those “looks good on paper” things … but the words are just way too small and way too many for the medium

    . . .

    and back to the actual thread topic …

    the more I think about this story, the more totally AWESOME this is – to keep that STUPID trite donkey all these years, waiting for *just* the right moment to use it
