Carol Browner behind Interior moratorium lie?

Back in June reports came out suggesting that Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar had lied in a report on the Gulf Coast spill by claiming that a panel of outside exports had peer-reviewed the report’s conclusions, which included a job-killing moratorium on offshore drilling.  After this came out, the Interior Secretary had to retract and disavow any nefarious intent on the administration’s behalf; and you could have believed as much of that disavowal as you liked.  Given that this White House purely hates offshore drilling and jumped at the chance to reverse course on the topic, it was reasonable enough not to believe a word of it.

Well, it’s now confirmed, via an Inspector General’s investigation, that the language in question was actually changed by a staffer to White House energy adviser Carol Browner.  This makes sense; Browner is a notorious Greenie who took advantage of the Gulf Coast oil spill to do a little empire building.  That the report just happened to get manipulated in such a way as to make it appear that the industry consensus supported an immediate moratorium on offshore drilling, and that it just happened to be manipulated by the office of the one staffer whose agenda would be advanced by a moratorium, is being treated as a… coincidence, apparently.  You see, nobody’s admitting any wrongdoing, which is expected to be treated as evidence that there wasn’t any.  And you can believe as much of that as you like, too.

Meanwhile, one Congressman estimated that we lost 12,000 jobs and about 1.8 billion dollars in revenue in the Gulf.  But Browner got the President’s Blackberry number, so: even trade, right?

Maybe in the time capsule dug up far in the future, it might finally show that Obama’s staff was hired to destroy jobs and destroy the United States economy …..and that the State Run media fully supported this .

I’m truly looking forward to what I expect to be an unending series of House investigations into the thug tactics of this administration. Thesepeople are making Carter look competent and Clinton look ethical. Clinton seemed to think “you’re not in trouble unless you get caught”, but these guys think “you’re not in trouble if you don’t admit you’re in trouble”.

groupthink. And the left has groupthink down. 4-5 years at a college indoctrination followed by nightly updates by the Lame Stream Media.

Or is not a crime because the left did it?

He will not be investigate, or if he did, no charges will ever be brought against the perpetrators.

Sort of like the old chestnut about a tree falling in the forest making a sound..

We know all about her, she started in Fla. Appointed by Lawton Chiles, our radical left governor. We also watched her under Clinton. She is a foaming-at-the-mouth radical! Needs to be institutionalized.

    Wrong.
These arbiters of what is truth don’t want to destroy [jobs; businesses; companies; the government; our country- chose one or all]. No, the guiding light is their feelings.
Once they decide how they _feel_ about an issue, apparently any means, no matter how [odious; destructive of others; shameful; devious; evil (when measured against an external, objective standard such as the Constitution, Torah, Bible, or even Hammurabi's Code) illegal (see the last parenthetical statement)- chose one all and/or add your own]. And they will act with every fiber of their being, using every page out of their only objective source matter (not Alynsky, they often don’t read anything beyond the NYT, or Huffington Times, after all), The Prince. And the astounding thing is the enthusiasm they will attack and destroy anyone & anything with the temerity to disagree with their _feelings_!
We can’t win arguments with them. Our educators taught them that method of decision making, for at least 13 years. And if they now vote Republican, it’s still based on their_feelings_, which will change. ?Give me your children…”
As an aside, the only accurate thing about George Orwell’s 1984 was that we did have that year. No brain police, just teach our children not to think (how? Easy! You teach the concrete thinkers they are products of random accidents, no different than animals, that urges are what you give into and by the way, here are the tools you’ll need when you get them… That way, no matter how much remedial “pride,& character counts” educating you do it will not penetrate that early life training and its inevitable fulfillment of the law of unintended consequences.
Oops! Slid off the old soapbox, good!
The only “cure” is to write off all those over 21 (choose your own cut off year), i mean, keep trying, keep arguing- it keeps us sharp, keep pressing on. It doesn’t hurt. It might help, and let’s face it, when their brain’s hit full development (about 26yrs), the ability to make objective choices kicks back in and they may be persuaded.
In the meantime, dismantle and close the Dept of Ed., infiltrate the NAE ala the book The Wasp- a textbook on how to infiltrate and destroy, for principled men written in the 1950′s (still relevant)- and take it down and out for 13yrs teach all children everywhere in our national influence that they are”endowed by their Creator?” from day one and that means we are not just advanced animals, nor ‘accidents.’
    Just sayin’
