Obama administration renews drilling ban. Of course it did.

Contra the Washington Post, the seven-year moratorium on new Atlantic, Pacific, and Eastern Gulf of Mexico oil drilling that will be announced today does not particularly mean that we’re going to allow new drilling in any of the other areas available to us, either*.  It merely means that these were the bans that the administration had to get on with right now before an annoyed Republican-controlled House – and a deeply frightened Democrat-controlled Senate – started asking pointed questions.  Well, one question, really: Why are we making suboptimal domestic policy decisions based on the belief structure of a very strange, and frankly not very pleasant, fringe religion?

Well, all right, we know the reason: it’s because the Greenies are always two short steps away from painting themselves with hallucinogenic moss and going out to firebomb a bulldozer for Mother Gaia.  It’d still be nice to see a little more secularism in this administration, and a good deal less fuzzy thinking.  But I shouldn’t complain: having gas prices go through the roof in 2012 will likely have a different, and much more satisfying, political result in 2012 than it did in 2008…

China, Spain, France and Canada. From the Keys you will probably be able to see their rigs.

Humor aside, if I recall correctly, Pelosi and Sen. Kerry swung the first Iraq oil contracts to China.

2012 can’t get here fast enough. And we can’t let up in the interim.

Deliberately hurting the US economy in huge ways is essentially sabotage against the Republic hidden behind mealy mouthed lies….

    Just my opinion.

It isn’t any less so under Obama. Just because we don’t like what he’s doing doesn’t mean it rises to impeachable offenses. This certainly doesn’t. Constant talk about impeachment distracts from dealing with the real issues. And whether you agree with me or not, talking about impeachment is a waste of time. It’s not going to happen.

We need to fight the policies and not personalize it to Obama. Every time a republican talks about impeachment of Obama we hurt our cause.

who was at best irritated, if not down right annoyed, at the constant calls for impeachment by the left just a few years ago.

Your call and ones like it is not less irritating. In fact it has become quite annoying.

By the way, wrong policy is not grounds for impeachment. And even if you could prove with no reasonable doubt that he was, with intent, trying to destroy our economy, you still do not have the votes to impeach. And quite frankly, since only God knows why the idiot is doing what he is doing, until he commits and offense that is worthy of impeachment, and it needs to be an actual criminal offense defined by the constitution which excludes your opinion, stop with the leftist type calls for impeachment. We do not need even one on our side looking as foolish as they did. Do you remember Kucinich?

The idiots in this country voted him in, our party pissed the independents off so much, which we need to win, that they voted like the idiots, a ton of us decided to teach our party a lesson and stayed home on election day, so we made the choice to make him leader, we need to wait the prescribed amount of time and remove him with our votes. In the meantime we need to kick every birther to the curb followed by those who make the idiotic call for impeachment.

Defeatin’ uncommon-sense thinkin’… goofball ideas should be our primary goal… not the U.S.-way-of-life-killin’ transmitters of these deadly thought-diseases. No matter how eloquent the carrier.

As a matter of fact… I look at Redstate.com as my own personal ?Center for Bluestate Disease Control?.

In most coverage of this the media don’t mention a court has at least twice ruled Obama’s ban illegal and ordered drilling to resume. It is reported as if Obama is the only one who gets to decide this. The BBC version quotes a dreaded republican saying how much damage the decision will do. The report doesn’t say ‘the republican’ or anyone else mentioned the legal ruling. I find it helpful to remember that organized crime is very involved in the energy business. Europol, The Hague, and various newspaper reports in the past year detail the billions that organized crime has already made in the ‘climate’ industry, with the Hague predicting it (org. crime) will shortly control not just the energy sector but will be looked to by the average citizen for security. I appreciate ‘a republican’ saying the Obama policy is no good, but it is time to ignore Obama and start acting like the court is the final authority. Obama and his friends think nothing of starving citizens of California of water, even offering to barter a few drops of life giving water for a healthcare vote. We need to go to court, assuming Soros hasn’t quite finished installing all of his judges.

From my understanding, the DOJ asked the court to dismiss the charges ruling against their ban. The court, to my knowledge, never excused them. The ruling of courts, and the Constitution has no meaning to this administration. They are full speed ahead to socialism, and the destruction of the US as any of us have known it. Court decisions, by judges, no longer have any meaning, unless the decisions are in their favor. We are at tyrannical if we want to admit it or not. Yet, this president will go about his way, because he was elected, and, can never be questioned.

Bush didn’t do anything worthy of impeachment during his terms.

The lefts calls for his impeachment were just a combination power play/political theater and BDS derangement in general.

The O is deliberately destroying the country one little power grab at a time in many questionable ways.

If calls for his impeachment are irritating all I have to say is good and get used to it. As the O’s policies destroy the dollar and hit everyone’s pocketbooks there will likely be more calls for it.

or are you afraid to back off a dumb statement. You state it was theatrics from the left when that is exactly what you are doing.

You are stating nonsense without one iota of proof to show what you mean and you are simply making vague statements as to what he should be impeached for.

You must have a thick skull, but try to keep up this time.

Nothing he has done falls under impeachable crimes, but even if we go on your fairly land reason, there are not enough votes. You can not impeach a president for bad policy and since God is the only one who knows if he is doing this with the intent to destroy this country, show us the proof that is required by the constitution to impeach a sitting president. You do not have it, no one has it.

And sorry to burst your bubble, the calls for Obamas impeachment are not common, are not growing, will not grow, and in fact the only groups making the call are nuts called Birthers and followers of the nut Ron Paul. Which are you?
