QotD, Lamenting Democrats edition.

(Via Hot Air Headlines) House Democrats are not handling their recent spanking well.  They’re especially distraught over losing control of the House in such an insanely short time:

“We only had it for four years,” one senior Democrat lamented. “It took so long to get it back, and now it is all gone.”

Well, that’s what happens when politicians run as moderates and rule as liberals, Sparky.  This is also what happens when a political party lets itself be run by its liberal fringe on the legislative level and by a feckless dilettante on the executive.  And, finally, this is what happens when politicians ignore necessary business in order to pass ideological wish lists – then inform the American people that it’s all for their own good, so don’t worry their pretty little heads over it.  And what are the consequences of all of that?  The political party guilty of such behaviors gets promptly backhanded by the American people.  As we saw.

Learn or don’t learn, as you blessed well please – but do not whine about it.  It’s unbecoming.

PS: God, but it is embarrassing to think that I used to be a Democrat.  Listen: when the Republican party got shellacked in 2006 I got drunk and maudlin, sure – for one night.  And then, as soon as the hangover faded I picked myself off of the ground and waded back in.  AND THEN WE GOT SHELLACKED AGAIN IN 2008 – but that time the Republican party didn’t even bother with getting drunk and maudlin before we got back up again and started swinging.  We did not whine.  We did not pout.  Contra our political opponents, we did not even get particularly mad.

We just got even.

the GOP leadership learned the lessons of why they got tossed out in 2006/2008 but I am not hopeful after their selection of some committee chairman and the tax deal that is full of pork. Hopefully the new freshmen can point them in the right direction and stiffen their spines.

that’s why we’ll need to be replacing them too.

and four years to do it and ,poof, gone. It makes you want to cry.
They barely began to cause and spread misery and pain, no easy task mind you, and a national uprising of racists deprives them of their right to destroy.
So naturally they do what they’re best at, they find somebody else to blame. Like any normal adult.

    I paraphrase;

Well, that?s what happens when politicians run as moderates fiscal/small government conservatives and rule as liberals , quotidian, backroom, calculating politicians Sparky. This is also what happens when a political party lets itself be run by its liberal self-indulgent old-time fringe-in-chameleon-mode on the legislative level and by a feckless dilettante on the continue to pine for the executive office, ad nauseum.

    Perhaps you should do it.

Maybe Congressional members will learn or re-learn that they are not the boss, We Are.

We asked them to represent us in congress, to do our bidding as we see fit.

I guess when one loses his “Moral Compass” and decides to make up the rules as he goes, there are consequences. They are seeing those consequences once again.

They should remember this lesson. All of them, Democrats, Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives. Unless they make The Vote illegal, they are still our employee. And we, as fickle as our desires may appear, are in charge.

actually, it’s very becoming of Democrats and liberals. They are, and always were, the whiners.

Let ‘em whine. Let ‘em howl. “Listen to them – children of the night. What music they make.”

To paraphrase Conan the Barbarian, what is best in life is “To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their girly-men.”

Just remember: we thought we had won when the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Empire fell, yet the Marxists are back again, and have come closer than ever to subverting America. Be ever vigilant – especially since our overly tolerant society frowns upon dealing with them in the only permanent way: driving wooden stakes through their hearts.
