I had and have no stake in any confrontation between the Bears and the Packers, but a bet is a bet, Governor Quinn.  You bet Governor Walker of Wisconsin that the Bears would win the NFC Championship.  You lost that bet.  Accordingly, your soup kitchen volunteer shift awaits.  So stop looking nervously at various union bosses and pay up.

Because if you don’t, you’ll never get to make another media-friendly friendly wager without your welching on this one being brought up.

PPS: You just know that there’s a hardcore progressive or two scratching his head right now over this topic and honestly confused about why it’s such a big deal that Pat Quinn won’t honor a bet.  I blame their parents, myself.

PPPS: To blatantly steal from one of my RS colleagues: no, giving shelter to fourteen homeless Wisconsin Democrats doesn’t count.

    Gov. Quinn is a bunch of things – welcher, political hack… Let’s just say that he has two main problems. The first is he thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room. The second is, unless he’s in the bathroom – alone – he’s wrong about the first.

    Had Brady run a more suburban-aware campaign, we wouldn’t be in the position of having a welcher for a governor.

    You seriously think a psychopath, excuse me, liberal, actually cares or even bothers to think about welshing on a bet and the non-existent criticism he’ll never receive. He’s covered by the msm and oblivious to the decencies of a Normal Person. Besides he has bigger things in mind. He has a state to destroy, a population, minus civil servants, to harm seriously. There’s so much damage to be done and to enjoy he won’t even give the bet a blink. No conscience, no problem.

    Ordinarily he only fails to repay other people’s money. Failing to repay a bet financed on his own is a new thing for the Guv.

    This is true when you know the person doesn’t really have the resources to pay. In this case, Quinn, as a Liberal, really has no compassion for the poor, so how can he realistically pay the wager?

    If one is going to wager an IL Democrat, bet them something they have, like 100,000 votes from dead people.
