FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

RedState Interview: Michael Williams (R CAND, TX-33 PRI).

Michael Williams was formerly running in the Texas Senate primary, but has switched over to the House race in light of news that his home town is now going to be smack dab in the middle of one of the four new House seats assigned to Texas because of the last Census. We talked about that, and about sand lizards, and a few other things:

Michael’s main campaign site is here: he also has Bowtie Patriots, which is more Tea Party-centric. Check them both out.

I believe he could have been more effective as a Senator than a congressman but I still support him going to Washington one way or another, he needs to be there fighting for conservatism. Well now that he’s out of the Senate primary that means conservatives wont have to split their vote and can now support full on for Ted Cruz.

Thank you Mr Williams for not forcing conservatives to split their primary votes between you and Mr Cruz. Going to have to send a few coins his way.

After Mr Williams has a few years in the house, maybe Sen Cornyn would find retirement comfortable – and we’ll have a solid conservative ready to go for that seat!

Michael Williams is the kind of man we need in Washington, whether as congressman or a senator. I do think his chances are better in the congressional race than in the senate race.

I met Roger Williams recently and he is equally impressive, with 40 years experience as owner of his own business. He also lives in the newly created congressional district and is rumored to be considering entering that race as well. But unlike Michael, he’s already raised 3 million dollars. We’d do well to send either of these men to Washington.

Ted Cruz has raised even more money than Roger, and is also a terrific candidate. We Texans are fortunate to have such wonderful conservatives to choose from.
