CA-36 Special Election results thread.

[UPDATE]: Folks, this is one of those where if you’re on the East Coast you might as well go get some sleep; this is going to take a while.

The polls have closed; results may be seen here.  Will Democrat Janice Hahn manage to take this D+12 district from Republican Craig Huey?  Well, the fact that this is actually a question of some interest says something… about Hahn, who was a pretty bad candidate.  We’ll see whether she was bad enough, though.

these are just the mail-in ballots. The actual votes from today should start to be available at about 10 pm Pacific, 1 am Eastern.

We got a while to wait. Final (or, semi-final, at least) will probably be in the morning.

Try this – it reloads a bit faster.

…which only encourages the miscreants running the show. Next question is whether, under redistricting, the Democrats will gain 2/3rds majorities in the state House and Senate in the 2012 election.

Redistricting is not going as well here as the GOP had joped.

  • FortitudineVincimus

    * Next update (48.66% of precincts) of 6748 votes had 22.85% fewer for Huey. Percentage of all votes is 43.17 Huey, 56.83 Hahn. Assuming same number of votes per precinct, Huey would need to capture 56.47% of all outstanding votes to tie.

Looks like we finally hit some Republican precincts:

    * Next update (78.93% of precincts) of 15797 votes had 11.76% MORE for Huey. Percentage of all votes is 46.06 Huey, 53.94 Hahn. Assuming same number of votes per precinct, Huey would need to capture 64.76% of all outstanding votes to tie. Estimated voter turnout at this point is 26%.

…to make up the difference – but at least Hahn will arrive in Washington with 0.000 credibility – she could only do 9% better than her opponent in a D+18 district – that’s awful.

    Thanks guys!!!

  • FortitudineVincimus

    * Next update (100% of precincts) of 6672 votes had 22.00% less for Huey. Percentage of all votes is 45.44 Huey, 54.56 Hahn. Voter turnout is 22%.

    Final stats:
    261/261 Precincts reporting
34636 votes Huey, 41585 votes Hahn, 76221 total votes.
45.44% Huey, 54.56% Hahn. Hahn wins by 9.12%
    76221 votes / 342492 registered = 22% voter turnout

    CA36 is brutal.

    Goodnight.

Sometimes there are just too many Indians, as Custer discovered at Little Bighorn. Let’s hope we don’t encounter the same.

…the lemming Demotards have willingly stepped off the cliff. I only wish they weren’t taking me and my family with them.
