20 Democrats Lie about supporting balanced budgets.

The Club for Growth has put out this video showing twenty sitting Democrats and their past ‘support’ of a balanced budget amendment (H/T: Instapundit).

‘Support’ is in scare quotes because it’s all a lie, of course: one of the people in that video is Harry Reid, who is currently screaming about the (popular.  Among adults, even) CCB bill because…

…well, because Harry Reid is taking the position that the CCB ranks up there with The Fugitive Slave and Indian Removal Acts in terms of sheer vileness.  In other words, Harry Reid is a contemptible, pig-ignorant suckweasel who lies when it suits him – and he got his position via a fair election of his Democratic peers in the Senate.  Please remember: there is no such thing as a conservative Democratic politician.

But there are a surprisingly large number of cowardly Democratic politicians, so keep calling those Senators.  Particularly the ones up for re-election next year.

    Someone should show this video on the Senate floor.

    Why is it that the Republican Party always seems to lose the public relations war when there is so much evidence against the Dems out there and most of it comes right out of their lying donkey mouths and is on tape for all to hear.
    Sometimes I think that Republicans are pretty pig ignorant too.

    For my Ohio Senators, I just called both Senators. I tried 3 times at Senator Sherrod Brown’s office; went to a full voice mail each time. I got through to Portman’s aides, who of course told me he was a co-sponsor. I asked them to have him convey to Brown that his VM was full and his staff weren’t answering.

    Brown made a statement the other day something along the line that “we” couldn’t have saved the economy if there had been a balanced budget amendment. How much you want to bet that he will pull a John Kerry and say he “voted for it (the non-binding resolution) before he voted against it”, or even better not even tell anybody that he votes against it today.

    This the fault of all American people, we have allowed thjese politicians to lie to us and slowly destroy the one document above all others that gives us the great country we once had. We have become a country of selfish lazy a$$e$ that refuse to turn off the t.v. in order to save ourselves and our children from a live under complete government control. Where are the people using their right to peacefully assemble to try and let these people no that lies will no longer be accepted. Vote them out of office because if you don’t two things ARE going to happen. 1- you and your children will live under complete government control telling you what you can eat, what job you can have, and what kind of medical treatment you are entitled to. (Sounds pretty close to recent events huh?) 2- Is that we and your children will be fighting another war unlike any we have ever seen. I for one would rather lay my life on the line and die rather than see my child become so dependent on government that he connot do what he wants our have the rights we enjoy. Please look at what few rights we have left and consider the rights that our Founding Fathers had. I love this country but it is time we stood up and said enough. Get off of your lazy fat a$$e$ people. DO something beside writing a damn blog about how upset you are and REVOLT. I love this country with all my heart but this government is destroying our freedoms, our quality of life, and our country, selling all of it to countrys like China and groups like the UN, China already wants infastructure in reimbursement for some of the dept owed. How long will it be before they own ouor roads our schools and our government buildings? Sounds like a non hostile takeover to me. We all know that the people will never let that happen but the question is do we even let it go that far or do we stand together as brothers in arms to see this Great United States of America survive this silent communist takeover? Stand with us or stand with them and we will see who wins. The american people are stronger than any foriegn or domestic army. The Founding Fathers left us the right to keep and bear arms because when government becomes detrimental to its people it is the DUTY of the people to start anew. (I believe it was Washington who said it?) Stand and revolt sheeple for one day soon you will never have the chance.

    God save our country for I fear no one else can.

    I love this country and hate to see it fall I am NOT calling for an armed revolution as you say. I am saying that people should prepare for the day our government ultimately destroys itself. It is well under way and we need to be prepared to resurrect this great Republic from the ashes of what we have become.
    When entitlements are withdrawn or go bankrupt do you not see the moochers rioting and burning our country down? How many people sucking off the government teet do you see everyday compared to those that are willing to fight for and die for this country?

    Just saying look at Greece and Europe how?s that any different from what?s going to happen here? Here it will be twice as bad. Oh and I went to government school that’s why there were not paragraph breaks, sorry bout that.

    Because their real goal is to increase the size of government (and therefore the power of the ruling class). They could care less about balancing the budget, unless it supports their big-government agenda.

    (prime example – Sweden has a good stable government via “balanced” budgets that are nearly 50% of the economy, vs. Greece has an unbalanced budget that is “only” 25% of the economy. Sweden’s model is more sustainable, and a role model for Democrats)
