Wisconsin progressives attack charter school.

Yup, ‘attacked.’ Those locks didn’t vandalize themselves, and they weren’t vandalized by the Scott Walker administration. That leaves a pretty small list of suspects from which to choose. Anyway, I’m just putting this video about the protests at Messmer Preparatory Catholic School (via Hot Air) up, without any of the (scathing) editorial comments that I had originally written.

But see if you can guess what the major difference was between the ‘choice’ school kids being protested at, and the screaming vandals doing the protesting. Hint: if you know anything about the DC school choice saga then you already know what I’m talking about – which is also true if you’re a typical progressive activist. The only difference there is, you’d rather gargle razor blades then admit that you do know what I’m talking about*.

*Which last is actually not entirely a bad thing, from a certain perspective: better denial fueled by shame and hypocrisy rather than a smug delusion that you’re actually out and about doing the Lord’s work, and never mind what that does to kids that don’t look like you…

Well. Maybe you won’t have to guess the difference, at that.

    That is all.

What is this world coming to? Oh wait, forgot, we’re talking about union thugs acting worse than spoiled brats.

    Never mind…

that the unions/Democrats/liberals have a vested interest in keeping Blacks so poorly educated that they will continue on welfare and vote for handouts from Massa Govmint?

where Mr. Smith mentioned the increase in property values X 300% due to the school’s existence? I bet the left loves this, or at least they should, right? Even though it’s a capitalistic phenomena, that increase in property values is a “redistribution” of wealth, isn’t it? (Sigh!) Yeah, too much to hope they would be so rational and logical about it.

BTW, they’ve already announced arrest of someone involved in vandalism.

Another charter school, Harlem Success, has been under heavy attack recently as well. Why? For this…

but this video turns ther heart as well. It is not an abstract in your head fantasy, it is right there in your face. Right where the libs don’t want it to be.

There is no possible way for this video to get enough exposure to please me.

for conservatives. I’ve just gotten into doing research on this, and I’ve been astounded at what I’m learning so far. Check this out…

Liberals aren’t going to support school choice. We all know that. Conservatives could, but I’m not sure how it fits in regarding reduction of costs and some of the conservative goals regarding spending cuts. From what I can tell so far, each state is approaching the funding issue differently. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as it is often easier to gain support for this type of change on a regional or local level rather than nationally.

So the district is actually left with excess money. It’s a win win, if it weren’t really union power that they were concerned with.

regarding financing, just from various comments that I’ve read. I’d like to find something that provides hard data substantiating it, but I haven’t found any so far.

The behavior of the man asking questions was extreme. Had the woman responded she might have said: Yes I am proud of what we’re doing here.

White liberals want to prevent black kids from getting the best educations they can get. WHY do black Democrats put up with this???
