Democrats: PASS THE SCHRODINGER’S JOB BILL!

Republicans: lolwhut?

President Barack Obama:

Pass this jobs bill — pass this jobs bill, and starting tomorrow, small businesses will get a tax cut if they hire new workers or if they raise workers’ wages.

The bill has not been written yet.

Valerie Jarrett, senior White House adviser:

Congress should pass this bill right now.

Again, the bill has not been written yet.

Huffington Post:

During a time of national crisis, the president has submitted an urgently-needed jobs bill that is well within the mainstream for Republicans as well as Democrats.

What part of THE BILL HAS NOT BEEN WRITTEN YET is so hard to understand?

Certainly the GOP leadership understands the concept that a speech is not a bill, which is why they’ve requested Obama’s plan in a form that can be scored by the CBO. They’d also like the White House to stop playing demagogic games with those three free trade treaties and actually submit them to Congress, assuming that the Big Labor stooges currently holding them up have managed to do enough featherbedding. But that’s probably going to take actual Divine Intervention. Or possibly another six months of 9+ unemployment; it’s hard to tell what can penetrate this administration’s Nigh-Impervious Force-Field of Smug these days.

But I digress: THE BILL HAS NOT BEEN WRITTEN YET.

    per an article at theHill.com
Another speech by BO…… glad I’ll be at work.

But there he is, our fearless leader… demanding from Congress, yet again…..that they pass his POS legislation.
Sooner or later, even those who have absolutely no interest in the political process, are going to get drug into it, one way or another.
The only thing I think Obama has going for him is that the average person just doesn’t have the interest or horsepower to worry about him after the work day is done. But that is going to change, since 20% are out of work, and more are on their way to being so.
Oh yeah, somebody please come and tell me that it is only 9%..
    Right.
I am an employer, and my phone is ringing off the hook with people looking for ANY kind of work. Those that call are often those that have exhausted all 99 weeks of UI.
Anymore, I hate to answer the hone.. if it isn’t a robot call, or a salesman..it is someone looking for work.
I don’t want any of those calls. They tear up my productive time.
    Don’t call us… we’ll call you.
Obama hasn’t figured that out yet. He want’s me to hire like I had work to do.
I have enough for me. Sometimes a sweeper.
    But that is about it.
And he complains I am sitting on my fortune, and I am un-patriotic for not placing it into the market.
Hey, I did that at the grocery store.. one of those elements you do not account for in the inflationary calculations. What was left went in the tank, also aside of those numbers.
Thank God I don;’t bet my life on being employed.
    I just couldn’t take it.

I read the headline too quickly and thought the Dems had brought Pat Schroeder out of cold storage. Yikes!

Thanks for teaching me a new word!

Don?t let Obama and the media get away with making people think conservatives are holding up the process!

Until there is actually a bill in writing, Republicans should answer any about signing a jobs bill with the statement, ?Show us the Jobs Bill.? I think Republicans should also mention that every day Obama campaigns without producing a written bill is another day Obama is putting his personal politics in front of creating jobs.
Obama?s hacks are polling and listening and they want to make the bill as complicated as possible so when Republicans shoot it down, it will anger the greatest number of people. Don?t let Obama and the media get away with making people think conservatives are holding up the process!

  • snowshooze

And they will have it submitted tomorrow.
Don’t worry, there won’t be much substance though.
It will be distilled BS as usual.

  • bk

    It’s not in writing
    So CBO can’t score it
    Deficit unchanged

  • http://whattoreadtoday.blogspot.com/ Paula

Good thing for Obama he can count on an endless supply of unemployed Americans to stand behind him at these ceremonies. They need to get t-shirts that say:

“Keeping the ratings up for General Hospital – one week at a time”

“You work so I don’t have to”

“I conquered 15 levels of Angry Birds today – six times!”

“Pants? Why would I need pants?…..

  • snowshooze

Obama keeps the CBO on methamphetamine’s.
Those poor guys.. up for days on end…. cranking out spoon fed outcomes to theoretical budgetary propositions…
They can’t possibly hold up for long at this rate.
There must be a long line of reserves to take the place of the burnouts. I mean really. We have to score what now? ok.. if that is what you say.. but what does it have to do with reality? .
Never-mind… we are hired to score based upon whatever BS you feed us… and so score we shall..

  • snowshooze

I think we have a niche market here. It consists of those aware of the truth. Tee shirts… well my friend says it is a vicious market, with tee shirt styles being front and center, but with your one-liners, I think we could sell a few.
    Anyhow, drop a line.

School House Rock had a 4-minute episode discussing what it took for a bill to become a law. It was quite popular back when Barack and I were kids. He must have been too busy studying at his Indonesian madrassa to catch this one. Maybe someone could get this link to him?

cut it in pieces and give it back to obama for his hemrhoids. He will need them for many years to come.

…how the government took food and gasoline out of the inflation formula to “reduce the volatility of the inflation rate.” Talk about double-speak. When you save your remaining money, don’t put it into the bank. I stopped doing that myself. I just couldn’t take that whole 0.25% interest rate thing, especially when I have to pay more in monthly service charges than I get in interest ON MY OWN MONEY. Bring back NOW accounts and maybe I’ll put my money back into the economy…but as long as the government under the Obamacare bill is now empowered to withdraw money from my bank account if they think I’m underpaying for something, I’m banking with Mr. Posturepedic.

you need to WRITE the bill before you pass the bill before you can know what is in it.

  • rightwingmom52

Like Ralphie. The fate of the planet may hang in the balance. Whatever the bill says, it will surely be about as impressive as the message Ralphie decoded, and no doubt our reaction will be the same as his.

Yeah, so I’m criticizing the House GOP for not passing a bill that my side hasn’t written yet. So?

Most of my base just wants reasons to hate Republicans. They don’t care if the reasons are actually true. (What IS truth, anyway?) I give them what they want, and they’re happy.

The MSM? Aside from that Tapper fellow, most of the MSM is pining to follow their hearts and join Linda Douglas, Jay Carney, Shalaigh Murray, etc… in Democratic Party…um, excuse me, federal service. Those folks don’t want trouble with the White House…they want jobs!

Oh, sure, their articles will point out that the bill doesn’t yet exist…but they’ll point it out on page B17, underneath the ads for next week’s UFC match. (You DO learn some useful tricks in J school).

Hey…remember how we raked in boatloads of money in 2008 by turning off that pesky feature in our online donation software? You know, the one designed to weed out foreign contributions? The MSM B17′ed that one for us—why won’t they do it again?

  • trukerdad1019

WHERE’S THE BILL, Barry? You claim that YOUR bill will create 20 bazillion jobs by the end of the week or day or whatever. WHERE’S THE BILL?? Employers will be able to get a $4000 credit for firing an employee that has been with them for years, and hiring a 6 month outaworker. Plus all the savings and “EXTRA” Government SUBSIDIES” they get when they give the “NEWBY” a RAISE in WAGES.
To this “MAGIC BILL” of little barr yobama’s ,I SAY BAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! He is SOOOO FUNNY he should sign up for the CHARLIE SHEEN COMEDY TOUR. Oh, wait, it ALREADY CANCELLED cause it SUCKED SO BAD. Hope to CANCELL little barry’s “COMEDY TOUR” in 2012. as it is NO LONGER FUNNY!!!

  • tbert00

When Obama demanded that Republicans “pass this bill now,” he was really demanding Republicans get behind him and support his failed progressive ideas, right now! Then they’d write the bill. This jobs speech was just Obama being petulant and throwing a fit because he’s not getting his way. I’m waiting for him to hold his breath until he turns blue like the rest of liberal Smurfdom. This was a plea to be taken seriously, and America saw it for what it was. We didn’t expect anything, and we weren’t disappointed.

  • bk

though of course it was mostly ignored by the press. They immediately said “Let’s get it from you and discuss it as soon as it gets scored.”

  • rickdeckard

“I voted Obama/Biden and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.”
Maybe one of his rose garden props could pull a Cindy Sheehan and strip mid-speech.

snowshooze, I’ve been self employed for 12 years. It sounds like I’m in the same situation. Additionally, I’m starting to look for a job. It’s scary and depressing. I was prepared for the typical 18 to 24 month downturn, but this crap has pretty much killed my market.

[So there's no confusion, I did not vote Obama/Biden. I held my nose and voted republican establishment. Hoping I don't have to make the same choice again in '12]

  • Duke

after it’s written they’ll have to ‘pass it to find out what’s in it.’

Not much change since the last election.

  • steve010

would have been to have a sit in and fast in the House chamber waiting for the Jobs bill from the WH. Even bring in a porta-potty, so that they wouldn’t have to leave the House floor for fear that they would miss the presentation of “THE BILL.” Just keep telling the reporters that, “Well, here we are. He said to Pass the Bill, now, 17 times, but there’s no bill. We’ll wait. He had about a month to get this done since he said he was going to present it. I guess his vacation to Martha’s Vineyhard was more important than getting people back to work. We’ll be here.”

I spoke with a few freinds that own small businesses this weekend and they have no intention of hiring anyone based on this. Its too little and not permanent.

Lately, every time the Obabassiah gives a speech, the market tanks. wish I had enough money to do some short-selling
