So, is Obama’s ‘composite girlfriend’ like a Hot Canadian Girlfriend?

Not that I actually ever ‘had’ one of those – what’s that? Oh, it’s a nerd thing. You’ll get guys claiming that they’re going out with this girl that they met online, only she lives in Canada so it’ll be a while until you meet her. I do not judge: that could have been me.

So I mostly just find this entertaining (that explicitly includes the title):

Why it matters that Obama dated a composite and ate a dog

There was a brief media firestorm yesterday when Vanity Fair broke the news that Obama’s famous “New York girlfriend” was a fiction. She appears in his 1995 memoir, Dreams From My Father, described in some detail by her appearance, voice and mannerisms. But a new biography of Obama – with an excerpt published in Vanity Fair – “reveals” that she was actually an amalgam of several different women. Politico immediately ran with “Obama: ‘New York girlfriend’ was composite” and Drudge headlined with “Obama Admits Fabricating Girlfriend in a Memoir.” Coming hot on the heels of the news that the Pres once ate a dog, his weirdo factor seems to have hit the roof.

Now, as Tim Stanley noted later, this was known… in the sense that Obama mentioned it in a part of his book that most people apparently didn’t read: i.e., the actual text. Which is kind of important, because in my opinion a large part of the liberal outrageously outraged outrage over this ‘revelation’ seems to be rooted in the fact that it’s becoming clear that apparently nobody in the media actually read Dreams of My Father. This sounds bizarre, I know – but between this and the ‘Obama ate a dog’ incident, you really do have to wonder who has actually read that book*.

Actually, that’s not true: conservative troublemakers have read the book. And there’s a bunch of stuff yet to come, I’m sure. What will make it really interesting is that – as Tim also noted in his article – this is the vetting that you’d expect to have happened in 2008, not 2012 (I’d have said in the 2004 Illinois Senate race, but never mind that right now). So we don’t actually know, really, what’s going to stick – until we actually throw it to the wall, that is…

Moe Lane (crosspost)

*We already can see who is pounding the table and shouting in the hope that you’ll ignore the fact that they didn’t read Obama’s books.

Obama gives it a whole new meaning.

as for the media at large, with the concentration span of gnats & brains to match, it’s out of the question.
As for the girlfriend, well she real but she wasn’t. Dashes and snatches of consciousness and reality, fantasy and dreams, the real erased by self deceit and a made up world. What’s the big deal, aren’t all progressives[?] free floating, untetherd to any consistent grasping of a true existence outside the moral and intellectual Disneyland that is the porridge that passes for their minds?
How else do you think Obama could live with himself, as well the rest of the baying hounds that support this lost and corrupt soul?

Peter Sellers as Chauncey Gardner in “Being There” is an illiterate manchild, who has this exchange with a D.C. operative.

“Chauncey Gardner” really cannot read, but ends up being considered presidential material: he is a completely videoized character.

Sound familiar these days? “Being There” is now over 30 years old.

Since “Forward” obviously isn’t going to work, and since we’re now learning about Obama’s (composite) caucasian girlfriends…

“ONCE YOU GO BARACK, YOU’LL NEVER GO BACK!”

so they they decided she was a composite? Hmmmm?

    LOL!

I would think most liberals have it shrined next to their bed though.

He’s still ahead of Romney among women and in some of the swing-state polls.

Barack Obama has yet another imaginary girlfriend. This one is called “Julia” and she is a hypothetical woman who grows up as a ward of the nanny state, in an unfortunately timed commercial the obama campaign released today. .

Any other imaginary composite hypothetical women out there?

Barack Obama and his cult are very odd indeed.

  • tngal

Its plausible. Short hair, long hair. curly, straight. Brown eyes, blue eyes. Its easy to see how he would become confused.

  • dfaith

an anti-Vietnam War book called “The Things They Carried” I read in college. One line essentially reads (I don’t remember the quote verbatim) “A war story doesn’t have to be accurate to be true.”

Liberals don’t think you have to tell the truth so long as you are speaking the “Truth” as they see it.

  • Tbone

if his imaginary girl friend was a dog?

  • Seedyrom

he’s full of BS and then some. If he ever dated a real woman she’s most likely been bullied into hiding like his cocaine and pot smoking buddies. If conservative, they’ve committed suicide. I can’t imagine a woman coming forward to say they’ve had “sexual relations” with than man.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Seedyrom

    maybe he ate her.

  • gekster

And would he sing this about his made up doggy girlfriend.

  • uncmike

if this bit about the girlfriend not being real is just the first step of him saying, “Well, I didn’t realy eat the dog…” I’m sure the way Romney turned that on him is killing him and his handlers.

  • wingnut43

It is great to laugh about whether live dogs belong on the roof of the car or whether dead ones should be served on the dinner plate, and whether any components of Obama’s composite girlfriend ever existed in reality. But none of this is going to affect the election outcome one iota. This election is being fought between the 45 yard lines and will be won by a field goal. The Independents and Moderates will make the final decision mostly based on economic policy. And this is what really worries me about Romney. Ultimately, there will be 3 debates with Obama, and economic policy will be the primary topic of discussion. Obama is advised by Krugman, and Krugman has recently been coming around to the MMT/MMR paradigm. (MMT describes the Chinese system best, and MMR best describes the US monetary system – see pragcap.com for more info) I am afraid that Obama will utterly destroy Romney if Romney sticks to a false paradigm based on Austrian economics. Economics is supposed to be Romney’s strength, and if Krugman-Obama demolishes him there is nothing left to win the election with. Everyone has imaginary girlfriends that only exist while sleeping alone, and no one will change their votes on this basis.

obama is truly the liar in chief. Cult of personality should be his campaign song.

    Look in my eyes
    What do you see?
    The cult of personality

I know your anger, I know your dreams
I’ve been everything you want to be
Oh, I’m the cult of personality

    Like Mussolini and Kennedy
    I’m the cult of personality
    The cult of personality
    The cult of personality

    Neon lights, a Nobel prize
When a mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You don’t have to follow me
Only you can set me free

I sell the things you need to be
I’m the smiling face on your TV
Oh, I’m the cult of personality
    [- From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/l/living-colour-lyrics/cult-of-personality-lyrics.html -]

I exploit you, still you love me
I tell you, one and one makes three
Oh, I’m the cult of personality

    Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi
    I’m the cult of personality
    The cult of personality
    The cult of personality

    Neon lights, a Nobel prize
When a leader speaks, that leader dies
You won’t have to follow me
Only you can set you free

You gave me fortune, you gave me fame
You me power in your God’s name
I’m every person you need to be
Oh, I’m the cult of personality

    >>>>Obama is advised by Krugman, and Krugman has recently been coming around to the MMT/MMR paradigm.

Krugman has been nothing but a cheerleader for extend, pretend and empower the state. All Romney has to do lis ask the zombies how well this has worked so far. Romney’s attack of the Government-Centric paradigm effectively accomplishes this mission. When Romney goes live with the adds and the major speeches. Krugabe, Obama and the rest of these frauds should learn to like the smell of butter. They will be toast!

  • wingnut43

Obama’s polling has been very consistent, and the variations are largely noise. He tends to poll slightly below 50%. Swing states will be won or lost based on economic arguments that will occur during the Fall campaign. This is where the election will be won or lost. I am also afraid that Romney will blow it (see my post above). Independents vote their pocketbooks, and don’t care whether Obama’s girlfriends were composite, imaginary, or even canines that ended up on his dinner plate after he was done with them.

  • wingnut43

The girlfriend is a composite of imaginary women who only exist in his mind while he is sleeping with a dog. After the dog becomes dinner, a new imaginary composite is created, and this went on until he found his true love – the one and only Michelle. Michelle introduced him to Pate (Purina Fancy Feast) on Ritz crackers, and since then he never ate a dog again.

But if Obama loses the election, everything will change. His girls will ask one day “where’s Bo?” Michelle will tell them “he is on your plate dear. Eat your dinner.” So you have to vote for Obama to save the life of his dog Bo.

Too many War Stories and not enough Truth.

Framed pictures of Stalin were on most walls in the USSR too. Just like in today’s N Korea. Everyone proudly displays a picture of their great punk leader, and claps and cheers exactly when they are supposed to.

Besides, the momentum’s Romney’s way right now.

  • wingnut43

Krugable and Obama are leading this country toward inexorable decline by devoting an ever greater share of national income to unproductive welfare spending and politically allocated corruption, but the arguments against them have to be properly framed. Arguing in favor of Austerity will never beat them. Romney may be up to the job, but we don’t know if he is until he faces off with Obama.

  • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens

People still talk about that guy?

That’s 90 electoral votes…and Obama is tied with Romney heading into high-demand, high-gas season. Who is going to vote for a president that is responsible for the cancellation of summer vacations all across these swing states because they can’t afford the gas to travel?

You give this chump too much credit. Now is when he should have a big lead. He’s set to crumble when the terrible economy he created comes home to roost.

One thing is certain – all this info should have been found before at least the former presidential elections. It is really strange the fact that one is not able to trust to the journalists to dig all the secrets of a candidate for a president, given that this is their primary work in a democratic society.

  • APA Guy

Glad prices are lower for you…they are choking people here in the Hoosier State. Dems don’t even run ads here anymore.

and says, “A white zin for me and a Miller lite, a Bud and a chablis for the lady.

Bartender raises and eyebrow and says “She only wants 3 drinks?” and Barry say, “Yep, the 4th is the designated driver.”

You have Lugar. That is all of the Dem you need. He’s agreed with Obama on more legislation than many Democrats. But tries to call himself a conservative. I hope he spends all of Cantor’s money and still loses.

  • earlgrey

That is my home state. I guess our drop in prices might be a regional thing. We never get hit as badly as others do. Not after 9/11, not after Katrina and not now.
