FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

NY, et. al. Primary results open thread.

A bunch of others, but NY’s is probably most of interest because there’s an excellent chance that the Democrats will be nominating both a profoundly corrupt scoundrel (Charlie Rangel) and a blatant anti-Semitic racist (Charles Barron) to Congress tonight.  Speaking as an American, I’d rather that both lost; but if I’m overruled, well.  No reason not to take advantage of the situation, right?

Results for NY here: more as I find them.

are going to lose. A bit early, but both are way down.

Maybe NY dems are not quite as stupid and evil as we may have believed.

in South Carolina, where one Andre Bauer has once again been handed his head on two silver platters. Any predictions on whether he’ll finally get the hint?

    Barron getting creamed.

Also Hatch cruising in the primary (sigh). I think he could have been beaten with a stronger opponent.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and they will keep investigating him and finally nail him into jail.

Incumbent John Sullivan losing to his challenger in the Rep primary. This is a very Rep district, it’s mainly Tulsa, Sullivan has represented it since Steve Largent stepped down in 2002. The challenger, Bridenstine, is a former Navy pilot who flew combat missions in Iraq & Afghanistan. He and Sullivan are both conservative, it seems Sullivan’s problems are personal.

The former law clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas, isn’t well known — yet.

I suspect that’s going to change now that Wendy Long won a three-way contest to become New York’s Republican nominee for the Senate. She will go against Kirsten Gillibrand, New York’s junior senator who is left of even Chuck Schumer.

I don’t even want the chance some confluence events ends up with that dude in the House of Representatives.

He’s no arch-RINO, but he isn’t conservative either.

He voted to raise the debt ceiling multiple times, against the Blackburn amendment to cut $100 billion in spending, for an Obamacare expansion, a bunch of energy subsidies, the Omnibus, and a bunch more of wasteful spending.

His opponent, Jim Bridenstine, is a true conservative who promises to cut spending, balance the budget, and he opposes wasteful subsidies :) !

I am so glad that Jim Bridenstine won last night…I hope that more RINOs take notice. I wish Mr. Sullivan and his family all the best as Rep. Sullivan moves to retirement. Congrats to Jim Bridenstine!

Wendy Long is a fabulous lady…I hope she can win against Senator Gillibrand.

If she doesn’t win though, I hope she will consider a run for the House of Representatives.

Thank you zollistar. I was just wondering where we could find some background info on Wendy Long.

Here’s the news story about Jim Bridenstine (along with a video interview of him from last night):

I am glad that Sullivan is gone. One less RINO from OK.
By the way Septembergurl, Tulsa may be Republican, it is one of the closest things to a liberal enclave you’ll come to finding in OK. Just look at how they were able to help carry Dan Boren (The only OK-D in Congress) the last time he was elected.
