And yes, I would like to take this time to remind the American people with regard to Obamacare that we, in point of fact, told you so.
That's then-House Minority Leader John Boehner pointing out in 2010 that Obamacare was passed in shameful fashion and in grotesque guise. He also noted that this entire "if you like your plan you can keep it" was arrant nonsense - and, oh, yeah: that if the Democrats passed this bill they were going to lose their House majority in record time.
I know that some folks have issues with the Speaker of the House, but he pretty much nailed it in this speech. Shoot, it only lacked Boehner beseeching the Democrats, in the bowels of Christ, to think it possible they may be mistaken - and, to be fair, it's a pretty obscure quote, with a certain amount of ominous subtext to it. But my point is that Obamacare all happened the way that we said it was going to happen. But the Democrats didn't want to listen to us, so now here we are.
Boehner, on the night ObamaCare passed, calling everything that would happen 3 years later. http://t.co/Ban7mmaPgO

PS: If you're wondering who that guy was that refused to let the vote be taken by voice vote: oh, that's David Obey. He had to hastily retire later that year. Because of Obamacare.
