A brand new poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports was released on Monday showing that President Donald Trump’s approval ratings have gone up rather significantly.

As reported by Rasmussen:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove. This is the first time the president’s overall approval rating has been back in the 50’s in nearly a month.

The poll released Monday is semi-significant in that it marks the first time that Trump’s approval ratings have been in the 50’s since his inauguration on Jan. 20.

His approvals rising could be attributed to many factors, but can likely be traced back to two major foreign policy decisions he has made in the last few weeks.

One, President Trump authorized the military to use the “Mother Of All Bombs” (MOAB) on ISIS in Afghanistan on Thursday that killed upwards of 100 ISIS fighters and destroyed underground tunnels.

Two, Trump also made the crucial decision to order missile strikes against the Assad regime in Syria after it was revealed that Assad used chemical weapons on his own people.

The Rasmussen Reports poll conducted its surveys via telephone and the internet. It is also important to note that they run a daily poll on their website, so the approvals are often subject to change rapidly following any event.

In comparison, Gallup’s most recent poll shows Trump’s approval at 41%.

Trump’s approvals have risen since he hit an all time low a few weeks ago when he was only viewed favorably by 35% of voters.

Whether he is at 41% or 50%, the country has approved of his decisive actions against enemies abroad in the Middle East.
