Ted Cruz Was Asked If Warren Could Beat Trump in 2020, His Answer Has Everyone Talking

Sen. Ted Cruz is apparently already a little worried about Republicans keeping the White House in 2020.

Cruz sat down for a panel discussion on Tuesday where he discussed who the Democrats might run in 2020 against President Trump.

Assuming she runs, Cruz warned that Sen. Elizabeth Warren could win in 2020 if Republicans Trump and Republicans fail to deliver on their promises.

“If we screw all this up, you better believe the American people could elect President Elizabeth Warren,” Cruz warned, according to the Texas Tribune.

“If we deliver on all this, it doesn’t matter who they nominate — we win,” Cruz fired back.

Cruz also added that he believes some members of the Trump administration are secretly working with Democrats to undermine the Republican agenda with infighting.

“Those voices in the White House that are trying to get the White House to unload on conservatives, to unload on the Freedom Caucus, are doing the bidding of the left, of [House Democratic Leader] Nancy Pelosi [Calif.] and [Senate Democratic Leader] Chuck Schumer[N.Y.],” he said.

Cruz concluded his remarks by adding he believes Warren will be Democrats “most likely” choice to run in 2020, saying he also believes she is “likely” to run.

His most important point was that Republicans have the power to decide their own fate in 2018 and 2020. Failing to deliver on promises to voters will cost them just as delivering on many of those promises will give voters reason to keep Republicans in power.
