Babs Boxer: Being a Senator is as tough as being a soldier

It’s no wonder Madam Senator Barbara Boxer (Democrat-California) demands to be called Senator: She thinks it’s a pretty tough job. In fact, she thinks it’s as tough as being “a policeman or a fireman or a veteran.”

It gets better, too. She says “the pressure” that she and Maxine Waters feel creates the same bonding that the aforementioned police, fire, and military volunteers endure and experience. No seriously. They actually roll their eyes at the same opposition to their agenda, so it’s just like when, say, two vets drop to the ground when they hear incoming artillery.

Some will say I’m exaggerating, and that I’m making a big deal out of nothing. But the Daily Caller’s quotes of her make her intent plain:

“We know that if you have veterans in one place where they can befriend each other and talk to each other. You know when you’ve gone through similar things you need to share it. I don’t care whether you are a policeman or a fireman or a veteran or by chance a member of Congress,” the California senator said. “[Democratic Rep.] Maxine [Waters] and I could look at each other and roll our eyes. We know what we are up against. And it is hard for people who are not there to understand the pressure and the great things that go along with it and the tough things that go along with it.”

“Barbara Boxer’s disrespectful comments underscore just how out of touch she has become after her 28 years in Washington,“ Veterans for Carly Coalition Co-Chairman Lt. Commander Paul Chabot said in a press release, in response to Boxer’s comments. “Equating the experiences of members of Congress with those of brave soldiers who have fought to defend our country is just the latest example in a failed career marked by disrespect for our men and women in uniform.”

Clearly someone was listening, someone was recording, and someone was ready to pounce on this. This is precisely the sort of thing we need to be catching at every campaign stop in America. In a long campaign people get tired, people get lazy, and people call someone a macaque or compare Congressional service with military service.

PS we can beat Boxer.

Hopefully it will have Fiorina leading like the SUSA poll! Babs disrespects out military men and women, and does not deserve to be in the Senate.

I mean really really really bad judgment. I mean I can see her point about sensing camaraderie with Maxine Waters it must be incredibly difficult for two people that have absolutely no connection to reality to get elected but its incredibly poor judgment to compare people pointing out that you aren’t even close to being within a country mile of reality to the very bitter and desperate reality of the shared struggles of our people in the military, police and fire departments.

Then again isn’t their judgment why we elect people to office ?

It is time to give relief to these two Old Warhorses. It is time to give them relief from the rigors of Washington Political Life which has been telling on their judgement. The charitable thing for Californians to do is to give both their citizens and the rest of the country relief by turning Babs & Max out to pasture in the up and coming elections. By doing so, we all win!!!

    Dear “Ma’am” Boxer:

It has come to my attention, as your superior and employer, that you have forgotten that you are the employee. The hired help. Salaried rather than hourly or day labor, yes, and perhaps better dressed than the average gardener or trash collector, but no more deserving of noble deference.

It might serve you well to understand that you, just as is the case with the gardener, can be easily replaced. You hold a job, not a seat in the House of Lords or the Politburo.

Consider this your written warning, “Ma’am” Boxer. If your behavior on the job does not improve, and I doubt it will, I’m afraid that termination of your employment is the only option.

    Sincerely,

    Joseph H. Taxpayer

It’s a matter of respect. It’s easy to respect the military. who do their job, even at the prospect of loss of life or limb. On the other hand, this Senator and her snobbish attitude toward the military has really pushed this veterans buttons. She is in good company with Waters. Will this be the year that California finally do the right thing and dumps this Senator?

and they are not all that bright.

Waters and Boxer couldn’t run the WWF or HP for one day.

little o thinks there are 57 states (actually, 59, because he said he had campaigned in all 57 but not Hawaii and Alaska), Biden thought he just ate at a famous local diner during campaigning but the diner had been closed for 20 years, Specter admitted at a townhall that he was promoting a bill he had not read, Dems. accused Reps. of filing Alvin Green’s fee for running for Sen. in S. Carolina and evidently had no idea that he was even a candidate on their own ticket, and SEC and MMS drones watched 8 hours of porn a day during both the 2008 credit meltdown and the BP leak disaster. These are not examples of the best and the brightest.

Their arrogance is almost incomprehensible, but when you buy them $600,000 worth of bottled water a year, pay for $2.6 billion in transportation (including town cars and limos–let alone Pelosi’s stand-by Air Force armada), and give them free haircuts, free mailings, free security, and miniscule cafeteria fees for haute cuisine-chef lunches, what can we expect in return?

The new Rep. Congress should cut all those perks to the bare minimum. Let them get out and walk. In the cafe, let them eat cake and drink from the tap.

Obama is a skilled socialist. Boxer is an amateur. She is throwing a hissy fit because she is up against an opponent who funds her own campaign and owes nothing to any special interest group, unlike Boxer who robs Peter to pay Paul. Boxer likes her job on Obama’s ‘court’ and will do anything it takes to keep it, ANYTHING! That is a lot of work.

Its not easy having a job with a 6 figure salary, paid travel (home to California EVERY weekend) and security, 100+ days off per year, and frequent social events with rich, famous and powerful people. It is very similar to being stuck in the desert eating MREs while getting shot at and missing your family whom you haven’t seen in 9 months.

Isn’t it time to cut loose all those bleeding heart women who found a way to get elected to office? Geez,,,,these weak kneed women would have us all believe they Florence Nightingale reincarnated. For Boxer to compare herself with American patriots is sickening.

…That could finally lead to Boxer’s ejection from office.

    Stay tuned…

    But can Boxer read?

And then, with the little o crew, I think chaos fits them just fine.
