Carly Fiorina blasts “Call me Senator” Boxer on television

Here we go. Just when I started to think she needs to kick things up a notch, Carly Fiorina has taken to the air against Babs Boxer statewide. The ad is called “Sir,” and introduces all Californians to Ma’am’s incredible arrogance:

As we all remember, she wasn’t bothering to call Brigadier General Michael Walsh by his title, no, she just called him “Sir,” but being called “Ma’am” was not good enough for her. No, she actually interrupted his testimony to her Senate Committee just to whine about that. That’s how bloated her ego has gotten after 18 years in the Senate plus 10 more in the House.

It’s time we sent her home and taught her some humility. Let’s get Carly Fiorina elected as California’s next Senator. She’ll work for America and for California, not to boost her own ego with a title.

comes across as composed and intelligent in every appearance I’ve seen of her. This ad is no exception. I think it is very, very effective. Yes, I know there are RSers who dislike her. I am not one of them.

I still feel a wave of disgust and sadness when I see the clip of SENATOR Boxer-Maam condescending to a man who has devoted his life to keeping her safe and free to “work soooo hard to get (t)here.” So few outside the military have any appreciation for the level of commitment and willingness to work hard — sometimes to the death — that is asked of our military.

I’d like SENATOR Boxer-Maam to try to get through one day of Basic or OCS without dissolving on the floor in a catatonic crying fit. But I am dreaming.

That’s Senator Ma’am to you, bub.

Life is tougher when you are stupid.

…Is a “dead cat bounce” for Democrats.

But both Boxer and Jerry Brown have gained some ground in the last couple of weeks.

Once Fiorina and Whitman start counter attacking (starting probably now thru mid-Oct.) I expect the CA Dem numbers to settle back down a bit.

Both of these races will end close (and the SEN race will end closer than the GOV race) – but, right now, I think our chances in both are pretty good…

My wife reacts viscerally at this point when her name is mentioned – and we’ve still got 5-1/2 weeks to go.

Fiorina is not, which make this a good time for her to make a move and start increasing her visibility.

Not sure what Meg can do about her problem. Beating up on the “old guy” might not be enough.

From the git-go, I could not, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, figure out what she was trying to do with that bit of condescension. What was the goal of that remark?

Anyway, she seems a bit uppity (a BIT????) given she has that job ONLY on the good graces of the CA voters (notice, I didn’t say citizens…)

She has no policing power, she has not been “promoted” to that job, and she cannot DO anything to anyone. Well, she can make it more difficult to work – as seen lately, I mean, CA unemployment is up to what? 10, 11? But, I digress.

So much for Pols being able to think 3 moves ahead. I have never seen ANYONE kick in their own teeth SO HARD as her with that IDIOTIC, off prompter remark. If you listen carefully, the loud *THUMP* was her Staff dropping their resume’s off in every D Senator’s office.

    Go CARLY!

    Anyone but Boxer.

Hopefully it has the same type of impact that Sestak’s ad against Specter in the days before their primary

“Fiorina comes across as composed and intelligent in every appearance I?ve seen of her. This ad is no exception. I think it is very, very effective.”

When she wins the Dems won’t know what has hit them. Carly is phenomenally fast on her feet. She is also well trained on how to come off polished.

Honestly a big part of it is knowing how to compose herself while she gathers her thoughts. Rather than making a funny face and going “uhhh huh um” like Obama or for that matter, Bush did, she’ll make a “thoughtful” pose, think what she wants to say and do it. Some is natural skill, a lot is training.

She’s also grown about knowing what NOT to say. The “No American has a god given right to a job” statement years ago is accurate for a free market person to say, but at the same time not wise. You won’t find her making the same mistake again.

It is funny how one gaffe can end a career in politics.

If Fiorina wins (I think she will) the biggest single reason will be this exchange. It was the REAL Barbara Boxer being revealed in that moment.

Republicans need to go out of their way to recruit solid candidates like Fiorina. She’s not perfect, but she’s a gifted communicator that comes off composed, intelligent and articulate. If you’re going to battle in a blue state, you really need an All-Star.

There’s gonna be a new hottest lady in the senate.

And with any luck he won’t be there to see her :-)

    Go Carly!

…are the ones showing the Dems lies, flip-flops, or arrogance in their very own words. This one gets a blue ribbon.

  • tomato

They’re carefully thought out. I find it interesting that the Fiorina campaign waded through 28 years of bologna and pulled out a nugget. Simple, easy to understand, sums it up.

When will Carlie reveal that Babs is actually the Demon Sheep of glowing eye fame?

Carlie is going to win and win big.

  • renny

Palidino only 6 pts. behind Cuomo and a candidate I never heard of neck and neck with Gillibrand, who has never gotten her positives above 50%, Things might break even better than we think. I hope so.

CA once had Wilson and Reagan, and there’s no reason why Reps. shouldn’t make it red as scarlet again. Go, Carly.

I’ve been waiting for this. And it doesn’t even feel so much “attack”-y, as “shining a little light”-y.

  • proudgop

I just wish Carly would crack a smile once and a while. Voters hate Boxer; Carly needs to show a warmer side in some of these ads and speak of a better day for California.

  • AndrewHyman

The video of Boxer complaining to the general is good, but the ad might be even better if it would also include video of some of the most arrogant present and former senators in Washington being called “sir” and “ma’am” without any complaint or fuss whatsoever.

And I’m thinking here of Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid, and even Barack Obama, for example.

Better yet, presidents at press conferences being called “sir” instead of “Mr. President”.

  • l7squared

    Mine starts with a “W”
and I think she is still practicing.

    Fanfreakingtastic Ad!

  • ciscoguy

You’ll definitely take her out of CA. A state of democrats doesn’t become liberty loving Constitutionalists overnight. The immediate goal here is to throw this marxist leech out on her ear, and I think Carly gives us a better shot at that than Chuck.

We have a great opportunity to this year to consign the democrat party to a permanent minority status if we spend taxpayer money responsibly again and stop harassing the private sector. People have now seen what spendthrift republicans and these maniacal democrats will do. Stand up for life, but ruthlessly hammer them on spending and security.

  • dmart81

than using their own words against them. It’s all right there for everyone to see.

  • sundesy

I can’t believe she avoided scrutiny for 28 years. As much as we are laid back this is gross negligence on the part of CA voters.

I think the ad should focus on the insult she met out the military man. This one incident can demonstrate multiple negative qualities of Boxer.

I would like to see an ad on the condescending treatment she met out to the black president of the chamber of commerce.

Boxer is arrogant, empty headed and with poor values. She has sucked up all the goodness and naivet? of the CA voters.

    Time to show her out.

  • barleycorn

It’s an OK ad but I think it needed a little more meat on it. The “ma’am” clip is useful but it would be more powerful if there were a little something else there to back it up and really drive the harpoon deep.
