Every Democrats needs to be voted out if they support what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and some House Democrats said on Thursday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said every historical statue should be “reviewed” for possible removal, even possibly those of the Founding Fathers.

From Washington Examiner:

Although Pelosi highlighted a distinction between the Founding Fathers who owned slaves and the Confederate leaders who fought for slavery, she said the U.S. should “subject everything to scrutiny.”

“I’m all for it. Let’s review this. Why are we glorifying the sins of the past?” she said. “But that doesn’t mean that because Thomas Jefferson or George Washington or others were slave owners that we should undermine what they did for our country. These Confederates — Jefferson Davis, Alexander Stephens — they committed treason against the United States in the name of slavery. I think that’s a different story.”

“But you know what? Subject everything to scrutiny and make a decision. But I do think we should do it in a safer way rather than a more dangerous way,” Pelosi said.

She would wipe away all our history if the mob was for it. She’d do anything to accede to the progressive shock troops. Shows who’s really running the party.

But her brethren went even a step further than she did.

Some of the House Democrats said that federal authorities should not intervene when mobs try to pull down statues or deface monuments.

From Washington Examiner:

“It’s not our role, and that this was acting locally, and people are working on it. I don’t feel the need to intervene,” Oregon Democratic Rep. Earl Blumenauer told the Washington Examiner. […]

Indiana Democratic Rep. Andre Carson, however, explained to the Washington Examiner that the process of removing the statues by government has taken too long.

“I think you have to understand that there are Democrats who are saying that there is a process to this and the process is taking place,” Carson said. “The problem is that after years and decades of critiques, and an insistence that these statues be removed, bureaucrats have refused to take these statues down, and now the people are speaking now.”

Maryland Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen told the Washington Examiner, “Monuments that celebrate those who fought to protect the institution of slavery really have no place in the public square. They need to be taken down, and I understand the sentiment to pull them down, and we need to be working with people to pull them down.”

As we’ve seen, this isn’t about slavery or racism, if that were true, they wouldn’t be ripping down statues of abolitionists, U.S. Grant and defacing those of Abraham Lincoln, black civil war veterans and World War II veterans.

By contrast, President Donald Trump has promised that the federal government will prosecute anyone who vandalizes or tries to pull down a monument, saying that people could face up to 10 years in prison pursuant to the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act.

Can there be clearer choice? Protecting sanity, the country and history vs. the Marxist mob.

It’s clear the side the Democrats have chosen.
