Today's Invocation Prayer for the 117th Congress Ended on One Heck of a Crazy Note

One of the reasons I voted for President Donald Trump is not just the things he achieved, but because Democrats are just going stark-raving mad. They’ve abandoned all civility, all common sense, all in a mad dash to the left, to grab power and control over Americans.

As my colleague Mike Miller reported, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca) and the Democrats were proposing to replace all “gendered terms” with “gender-neutral terms” in all proposals.

Eliminate all references to “fathers, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and in-laws,” they proposed, and change to “parent, child, sibling, spouse or parent-in-law.” Extended family members would be “child’s parent” instead of aunt or uncle, step-parents or siblings-in-law. Pelosi said the rules change was made in part to “reflect our priorities” “as a country.”

“Thanks to the leadership of Chairman McGovern and our Members, Democrats have crafted a package of unprecedented, bold reforms, which will make the House more accountable, transparent, and effective in our work to meet the needs of the American people. These future-focused proposals reflect our priorities as a Caucus and as a Country.”

They’re literally eliminating the terms of the nuclear family from proposals as somehow offensive. They’re already over the slide into far left la la land. These are the Democrats in the majority now in the House and these are their priorities. Not resolving questions of election irregularities. Not voting on Wuhan virus relief. This crazy stuff.

As if that all wasn’t crazy enough, we got an example of how crazy it can still go, with today’s invocation to start the 117th Congress. The invocation was delivered by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO). Cleaver is from the 5th District in Missouri and is a United Methodist pastor. But his ending put a capper on what Pelosi started.

“Amen and Awoman,” he ended. Um, what? Amen means “so be it.” It has nothing to do with gender It has a specific meaning, when you change it, it doesn’t mean the same thing, you’re literally diluting the meaning. This is changing reality and fact to something that makes no sense because you want to sound woke. How, as a pastor, do you not know what the word means? Or worse, you know what the word means, but you sacrifice it to the god of sounding woke?

People really couldn’t believe it.

Hold on, if you thought 2020 was something, sounds like 2021 is going to be one heck of a ride too.
