Arizona Gubernatorial Candidate Kari Lake Leaves CNN Reporter Speechless

Republican Kari Lake is running for governor in Arizona. It’s a bit of a crowded GOP primary field with six candidates, but Lake has been endorsed by President Donald Trump so that’s a big benefit to her.

Trafalgar Group has her up by 12 points.

On Thursday, she may have just helped herself some more. Lake almost set the internet aflame with the mic drop that she laid on a CNN reporter. Reporter Kyung Lah was trying to nab her for an interview. As someone who worked in media herself for KSAZ-TV for 22 years and who seems to understand what CNN is about, Lake showed that she was very adept at dealing with CNN.

Lake referenced CNN+ — the streaming service that CNN invested a ton of money that was canceled just weeks after it launched as it failed to pull in viewers. “I’ll do an interview with you… as long as it airs on CNN+, does that still exist?” Lake said. You could see the look on Lah’s face when Lake said that, it was priceless. “I didn’t think so because the people don’t like what you guys are peddling which is propaganda. Thank you.” Boom. Talk about quick-witted, lighting them up and decimating them into the ground with a smile — that was it.

That got her a lot of praise.

CNN has shown — over and over again — that they aren’t objective news, so it’s about time that someone told them so to their face. They may be trying to make a change, but they have a long way to go in the minds of most Republicans if they can ever overcome the bias that they showed under former head Jeff Zucker.

There’s no doubt that this will help Lake out with the base who want to see Republicans who are willing to fight back and not go along to get along — like the 15 Republicans who caved on the gun control bill and helped pass it in the Senate.
