Prepare the smelling salts. The left is going to lose their minds over the anti-abortion bill that just passed the Florida House. To them, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Republicans just became literally Hitler.

From The Hill:

The GOP-controlled Florida House on Thursday approved a bill that would ban abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, sending the legislation to Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) desk.

The bill’s passage is a major policy win for DeSantis ahead of an expected 2024 presidential bid. The Florida governor signed into law a 15-week abortion ban last year but has said that he would support more restrictive measures and is expected to sign the latest piece of legislation.

That’s a huge move by the House.

However, there is a caveat to that vote. The state Supreme Court has been considering a prior 15-week ban that previously passed, and the Court could still rule in a way that might upend both bans. So we’ll have to see if either holds up.

Anti-abortion advocates celebrated the ruling.

“Florida lawmakers today delivered a major win for babies and mothers and a huge step forward for the Sunshine State,” said Katie Daniel, the director of state policy for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, a prominent anti-abortion rights group. “Unborn babies are human beings with beating hearts at six weeks’ gestation.”

It looks like the “insurrection” is already underway at the Florida Capitol and you can expect more to come.

Javier Manjarres of the Floridian Press is calling out Democrats who are seemingly approving of the actions. We could be looking at another Tennessee-like situation where Democrats who are fond of attacking Republicans are now themselves approving of “attacks on our democracy.”

Demonstrators were seen shouting and throwing handfuls of stickers and small pieces of paper down on lawmakers as they entered the House chamber.

The stickers provided information on how to receive abortion pills through the mail, according to local reports.

They had to clear out the galleries in the chamber because of the disruptions. That sounds like “obstruction of an official proceeding” to me, although I doubt anyone is going to be arrested or held to account for these actions.

This sounds like a threat from someone who identifies himself as a former “Biden delegate”:

This comes on top of the controversy surrounding the abortion pill decision where a federal judge suspended FDA approval of the abortion drug mifepristone. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra indicated that “everything is on the table” when asked whether the White House was going to go along with Democrat suggestions to simply ignore the court decision and do what they wanted.
