Target Partners With Group That Advises Schools About Hiding Child's 'Gender Identity' From Parents

Bud Light seems to have opened the floodgates to the public fighting back against injecting “woke” ideologies into everything. The boycott has not only hit them in the sales and their stock, it’s brought them to essentially having to give beer away for free right as we hit Memorial Day weekend, a time which normally would be a big moneymaker for them. Now the weekend is likely to show them that they may have permanently lost a big subset of their customers. But it’s also giving a message to the other companies that hop aboard the political bandwagon. Americans just want to buy their products without having the political agenda in their face.

Target is now proving that the boycott is not a one-off, as their stock took a huge plunge losing more than $9 billion in market capitalization since they kicked off their controversy a little over a week ago. While they did try to stem the tide by allegedly removing/moving items that they said were causing the most concern, their CEO also doubled down on the propaganda, saying this was about building “engagement.” As my colleague Susie Moore said in a great piece, that’s nonsense, at least in terms of the customers. They don’t care about the customers, they care “about building ESG cred and pushing a progressive narrative.”

How do we know that? Take a look at a new report concerning with whom Target is partnering.

Target Corporation is partnering with a K-12 education group for which focuses on getting districts to adopt policies that will keep parents in the dark on their child’s in-school gender transition, providing sexually explicit books to schools for free, and integrating gender ideology at all levels of curriculum in public schools, Fox News Digital uncovered.

Target thinks that’s all just cool. “GLSEN leads the movement in creating affirming….spaces for LGBTQIA+ students. We are proud of 10+ years of collaboration with GLSEN and continue to support their mission,” Target said. They give them annual donations and have given the group $2.1 million.

GLSEN want to make sure that gender ideology is integrated in all classes, even injecting “they/them” pronouns into word problems. But perhaps more problematic, they offer guidance to schools that could involve potentially hiding gender transitions from parents.

For example, its policy for districts said, “[The local education agency] shall ensure that all personally identifiable and medical information relating to transgender and nonbinary students is kept confidential… Staff or educators shall not disclose any information that may reveal a student’s gender identity to others, including parents or guardian… This disclosure must be discussed with the student, prior to any action.”

We’ve written on this issue and this group before.

GLSEN also wants to ensure that districts let biological males compete against women in women’s sports and schools can also get sexually explicit books for their kids from GLSEN for free.

One of the books listed for their 9th-12th grade library is a book titled, “Beyond Magenta.” The book has been criticized as disturbing, described a 6-year-old child as “sexually mature” who “hated being a kid” and engaged in oral sex. It also mentioned “perverts” and “pedophiles.”

The book said, “I was sexually mature. What I mean by sexually mature is that I knew about sex. From six and up, I used to kiss other guys in my neighborhood, make out with them, and perform oral sex on them. I liked it. I used to love oral. And I touched their you-know-whats. We were really young, but that’s what we did… Guys used to hit on me – perverts – pedophiles. I’d see guys giving me a look, and it kinda creeped me out. They would touch themselves, saying, ‘Come here, sweetie.’ I ran away… By then I hated being a kid, I had a grown-up’s mind and thought I was an adult.”

I’m just going to take a wild guess that if Target is hoping to pull out of their free fall, this isn’t going to help them. I think they just jumped from the frying pan into the fire. If this is what they mean by “engagement,” they are going to have more folks like Susie Moore throwing them over and trying to make do with whatever other options there are in town.
