Biden Cancels Meetings Over Root Canal, Staff Reportedly Concerned He Eats 'Like a Child'

When Donald Trump was in office, we heard repeated stories about his food choices and how that was somehow harmful. As we reported, they seemed to have an unhealthy fixation on his drinking Diet Coke.

But when it comes to Joe Biden, if anything at all is covered by the media about his food choices, it’s usually just things like his love of ice cream or his favorite flavor — “chocolate chocolate chip” — with no judgment attached.

On Monday, they were sort of forced to cover Biden’s issues because he had a two-day root canal that extended into Monday, so he ended up canceling the few events that he had scheduled for the day, including separate meeting with college athletes and then with NATO’s Jens Stoltenberg.

Presidential physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor revealed that Biden, 80, had the first part of a root canal Sunday after “experiencing some dental pain in his lower right premolar” and that a second procedure would happen Monday.

“Our Presidential Dental Team from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center was able to perform an examination, to include x-rays, in the White House Dental Operatory. They determined that endodontic treatment (root canal) was most appropriate,” O’Connor wrote.

“Initial root canal procedure was performed at the time, with a plan for specialized endodontal follow up in the near future. The President tolerated the procedure well. There were no complications,” O’Connor added.

“He is experiencing further discomfort this morning, which was anticipated. The endodontal specialty team from Walter Reed will complete the President’s root canal today, at the White House.”

They didn’t publicly disclose the root canal until Monday, shortly before Biden was supposed to meet with the college athletes. Kamala Harris had to take over.

An Axios report in May revealed the “tension” within Biden’s inner circle about Biden “eating like a child.”

The president likes to drink orange Gatorade and his favorite foods “include peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, BLT’s, pizza, cookies, spaghetti with butter and red sauce, and ice cream that he occasionally makes into a full sundae, according to current and former Biden aides,” the outlet reported.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre got a little snippy when asked about the root canal and Biden’s oral hygiene habits, saying she was not a dentist.

Jean-Pierre said that among White House staff, “we all found out this morning internally” about the agenda-disrupting procedure.

The press secretary at first tried to laugh off questions and then grew testy when a journalist continued pressing her on details.

I should never get a root canal here because then I could see the judgment that comes — is coming my way,” she at first joked.

Later in the briefing, she more sternly sought to shut down questions about the timeline, saying: “Sir, it is a root canal.

Millions of Americans go through this. There’s nothing mysterious about it. It’s a regular thing that many people go through.

The reporters were forced to press KJP because the White House refuses to put Biden’s doctor out there to take questions from the press on the matter, although he did release a statement about the procedure.

That raised questions from some because of this clip in 2019 where he appeared to have false teeth in his upper mouth.

Jimmy Failla joked with Brian Kilmeade that Biden’s diet was indicative of someone who wasn’t in charge.

If I were his “inner circle,” it wouldn’t be his food choices that would be bothering me, it would be his behavior where he says things that are incoherent and/or that aren’t the case. That’s the behavior that’s concerning to Americans and the staff doesn’t seem to be able to stem that.
