Biden Shows Full-on Cluelessness During '60 Minutes' Interview About Israel

60 Minutes.

Joe Biden held an interview with "60 Minutes" this week, and a couple of teaser clips have come out so far on the show. There probably will be more yet to come, but it looks like it's typical Biden -- in full-on cluelessness.

Anchor Scott Pelley asked him, "Are the wars in Israel and Ukraine more than the United States can take on at the same time?"

Now, the phrasing of that is interesting. Should I note that they are not "our wars" -- despite all the efforts to make them our wars? That said, it doesn't mean we don't have interests and concerns, particularly when Americans are killed and kidnapped as they have been by Hamas. There needs to be an appropriate response to that.

But Biden's response doesn't even note the point I made above, it assumes the correctness of the statement because he views the U.S. as the world's policeman, which his answer proves.

"We're the United States of America, for God's sake!" Biden ranted. "We're the most powerful nation in the history, not in the world, in the history of the world. The history of the world, We can take care of both of these and still maintain our overall international defense. We have the capacity to do this and we have an obligation to do it. We are the essential nation, to, to paraphrase the former Secretary of State and if we don't, who does?"

Yes, the United States has been the most powerful nation in the history of the world, and we do stand by our friends. But right now, we have an incredibly weak and clueless leader in charge.

There's "nothing we can't do" -- when he can't even figure out that such a highly planned attack was even coming.

Even now, they're still claiming there's no "specific evidence" that Iran was involved.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby last week said that Iran had "broad complicity" when it comes to Hamas due to their support for the terrorist organization, but that they had yet to see "any specific evidence that tells us they were wittingly involved in the planning or involved in the resourcing and the training that went into this very complex set of attacks" that were carried out.

That kind of statement just makes you want to shake your head at how much they don't get it.

Perhaps Joe Biden and John Kirby would like to tell us what was going on when the Iranian foreign minister met with the leader of Hamas in Qatar on Saturday and embraced him. I'm sure it was just a random visit to talk about grandkids.

"Nothing we can't do" -- this from the guys who brought us the Afghanistan debacle, who can't even evacuate our people safely -- who left hundreds behind.

Of course, the Biden team wants to say this because they want to distance the attack from the deal that the Biden team made with Iran that cut loose the $6 billion. They've given clueless responses/attempts to avoid blame when asked about money being fungible and this deal helping free up other funds for terrorism.

Then what happens when the next phase of the drama racks up? When China makes its move against Taiwan? Because I don't think it's accidental all these things are going off at the same time Biden is occupying the office. The bad actors realize this is their window. As we noted earlier, China is making threats, and if that situation pops off too, Biden is going to truly be out on a limb.

Never mind all the American interests at home that Biden has just blown up or let fall by the wayside, like the border and the economy. He's depleted our Strategic Petroleum Reserve to help himself politically, but what happens when the real emergency comes? And he's given a lot of weaponry to Ukraine and drained our supplies. That goes on with no end in sight.

Pelley asked him about what should be the priority -- the safety of the Americans being held hostage by Hamas. What was Biden's message to the people who had taken Americans, Pelley asked. Notice the "60 Minutes" post calls the terrorists "militants." Biden's response wasn't a message to the terrorists. He was attempting to project strength in the response.

"We're going to do everything in our power to find them," Biden said. "We're workin' like hell on it."

As we reported earlier, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan got nailed by CNN's Jake Tapper when he said it seemed like there wasn't much being done to get them back. Sullivan said discussions were going on with third-party nations behind the scenes, which makes me wonder if they're trying to do another deal for the hostages. Once you go down that road, you get more hostage-taking, and the Biden team has already gone there.

"Nothing we can't do." Unfortunately, with Biden in charge, we can't have any assurance that he will put American interests first or that he will do anything right, given his history.
