AOC Goes From Bad to Worse With Latest Statement About How Israel Aid Should Be 'Conditioned'

If you truly cared about the people of Gaza, the first thing you'd want to do would be to get rid of Hamas. If you had a peaceful government that wasn't spending all its money trying to wipe out Israel, that would be the best thing for both them and the Jewish state. The only thing preventing that is Hamas' continued commitment to war.

As my colleague Susie Moore wrote earlier, give credit where credit is due. This is a good statement by Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer, who says Hamas doesn't want a ceasefire; they want to eliminate Israel, so under those circumstances, a ceasefire doesn't make sense.

But despite that, you have a lot of folks on the radical left, like the members of the Squad, screaming for a ceasefire.

Now, one of those members, Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), is digging the ignorance hole deeper with her latest post on X about the situation.

"Conditioning aid to Israel, as we do with virtually all other US allies, is a responsible course of action," AOC claimed.

"The United States has a legal and moral responsibility to ensure that public resources do not facilitate gross violations of human rights and international law."

What a despicable person she is. Israel gets attacked by Hamas terrorists, to which she was initially silent. Then she called for a ceasefire, which would help Hamas from being wiped out. Now this? Where is her scolding of the people in the wrong here -- Hamas? Why isn't she calling for them to surrender and stop attacking innocent people? She's making an evil moral equivalence here between Israel, which does all it can to avoid civilian casualties, and Hamas, which deliberately targets civilians.

If AOC wants to "condition aid," I'll agree. Let's start by conditioning aid to Gaza on the disavowal of Hamas, Hamas laying down their weapons, and the return of the hostages, including Americans. Notice, she isn't calling for that.

What are the conditions on the aid to Ukraine that she's for?

Her fellow members of Congress had some great responses to her.

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) had a few things to say to his fellow New York legislator.

Even her fellow Democrat from New York, Rep. Dan Goldman, appeared to be calling her out, although he didn't tag her.

"Why is anyone talking about conditioning aid to Israel rather than focusing on putting maximum pressure on Hamas to release the hostages?" Goldman asked.

This may be the only time I ever say this about Dan Goldman, but he's exactly right. That should be the focus, but it isn't with AOC—stopping the elimination of Hamas seems to be her goal.
